My experience with Bloom Electric was horrible. Word of caution if you hire them, make sure you document when they arrive and go out of your home or some of the workers will try to overcharge you for labor that they are not actually working. I had this happen as the worker came at 9:15 and was done working at he then went into his truck and sat in it for two hours while the truck was parked in my driveway. After about 30 minutes I started taking photos from my phone and video with the worker sitting in the truck for the simple fact that I found it shady and bizarre. I also have a camera aimed at my driveway. I called Bloom the next business day to get an hour breakdown and told them my concerns. The actual worker called me the next day and left a message with a BS of an excuse on his labor time. Again, I took pictures and videos and have them on my phone and they are on camera. Anyway, when my bill came a week later they had charged me for 7 hours when he only did five hours of work. I had to call multiple office people to get this straightened out which they did. However, nobody should have to go through this especially from any company and especially a company that is to pride themselves as being a service to Clearfield County! They are a disgrace! I normally don't do bad reviews, but I don't like being ripped off or lied to and when I do, I become furious! By the way, the worker who bragged up his plumbing skills and 20 years of experience. He said he could get my drain unclogged never did when he left. I ended up getting it unclogged. The same worker told me I had a broken drain pipe and that it needed replaced. He insisted that he come out the following week. Ok, well the drain pipe was working fine when I got it unclogged and the water was running through it with no trouble. He also did not want to give me an estimate the first day and said to wait until he came back. I had to ask him three times to give me an estimate for that day. He goes out to the truck and comes back and says about 500 dollars and the reasoning for that amount is because he had to run heat to the pipes. By the way, he had to go out to get a heater as apparently he did not have one on the truck he brought. Wow! No coming back for him or anyone from this company! Anything I cannot stand if fraudulent claims and lies! I am not saying all workers here would do this, but the one I had clearly did and I have proof of the hours that he did not spend. Remember phones show times and dates in the properties. I have no choice to pay a bill for a job that never got finished and also to dispute their worker's claim on how much time he tried to say he spent on labor. This incident sickens me because I wonder how many people they have serviced that they charged more than their actual time. I wonder how many people were told they had to get things replaced when it was not the case. This company needs exposed nationally for such fraudulent practices. The only good I can say about this company is that the office people are nice and did listen to my complaint and made the labor hours right. Overall, not impressed! Read moreHad an aweful screaming noise coming from my boiler and called in to see if I could get someone out to check my system and repair what needed to be done to get it working correctly. Drake was my service tech and made it out at 8am the following morning. After replacing some main component parts I was able to help out by bleeding my radiators while he finished up in the basement. He was very nice and didn't mind me watching him work and answered all questions I had to better understand how my boiler works. The only reason why I'm giving a 4 star and not 5 is because of not knowing what the cost was going to be until it was time to pay, not having the option of a payment plan or invoice to be paid by whatever date. Luckily I had enough to foot the bill, but it put a large dent in my bank account which I will need to work extra to even out for bills this month but it is what it is. Read moreCalled Friday for a furnace problem and we’re suppose to come Monday. Called Monday an hour before closing and repair person was suppose to give us a call. It’s Tuesday an hour before closing still no show and no word. We also tried to get an estimate for a whole house generator in May of this year. We had to call back to get the electrician to come out a month later. 3 months later never heard from them, so tried again. Said they called and talk to use and we went with someone cheaper. They never called and we have been doing business with them for a few years so they have our correct number (The electrician called us on the phone before coming out). Called a few more times over the following months and always told working on the estimate and will get back to us. 5 months later still no word.
