I wish I did not take away their accomplishments but unfortunately cherry picking at this orchard is something that I will probably not do again. Even though I was super excited when I got there. The day was gorgeous….blue skies,Clean air,no humidity and I couldn’t wait to get my hands on my favorite fruit on this planet. I got even more excited when I saw the “menu”: a list of all the types of cherries that the orchard had. Which were a lot of types, over 20. As I started venturing through the tress I started noticing that a lot of the trees had cherries that were already rotting on the branches. In the end it was actually a problem because I would look in the bucket and half of the cherries were bad. Some looked really good but then you would pick them and they were mushy. There were very few trees that actually were delicious….the white ones, though. The red ones none were OUTSTANDING. Not sure why there was plastic on top...
Read moreGreat farm to take the family for a day out. I took my kids there for apple picking and pumpkin picking. By the time we visited, a few of the apples were finished for the season, but there were others to pick. Once we were done, we traveled 4 mins up the road to the farm house. Here you could visit the pumpkin field and pick your own pumpkin, there was a wine tasting area. I purchased a flight of wine and enjoyed with cheese and crackers. They had a food store where one could buy fresh from the farm vegetables, jams and apple cider donuts. My only peeve was that the donuts are not served warm. In past farms we got made to order donuts with the option of sugared or unsugared. There is a playground, a food court, pony rid, a corn maze and a dandelion field. One can also guy flowers to plant as well as other fruits. This is the place to spend a day out with the little ones. I intend to visit...
Read moreWaste of money. We visit the farms for fall fest every year and this year we chose to go To Terhune farms and it was raining all day, and I requested a refund as kids couldnt play at all in the rain and not just play but due to the rain we could t jus stay there and had to return and they rejected the refund. Its not just about the money but the way business is conducted. No one shud expect kids to play in the rain just because they need the business to run for the day. We were told the rain is sporadic for the day and to take shelter in the tent and play as the rain subsides and to repeat this the whole day. Its just money making is what I felt it is. It was just empty due to the rain, photo attached. The play area was too tiny compared to other farms I have visited in the past and its not worth the money even if there was no rain that day. Wouldnt visit ever again and wouldnt...
