Emelise Farm is, pleasantly, a very non-commercial, and yet an excellent place. No entrance fee or prior appointment is required. It is run by a very hands-on, knowledgeable and welcoming couple who happily share themselves with their visitors. It is a very nicely managed farm having plenty of beautiful Alpacas with whom you could interact all day long, if you wished! You could feed the Alpacas off your hands — the feed too is provided by the farm free of charge (I’d suggest visitors to use the inconspicuously placed donation box though). Susan and Wayne are fantastic hosts at their beautiful alpaca farm and gift shop! The tree-covererd mountains of Northern New Jersey are a picturesque backdrop for this fun and educational experience! Feeding the alpacas was such a treat!!!! They were so sweet!
