I was dropping off people here today (I was their Uber driver) and from the moment we pulled in we were met with some very overly aggressive security. There’s no clear signage other than “Enter” but as my passengers were getting out this woman starts screaming at us and charging at my car. “GET BACK IN THE CAR!!!!!! GET BACK IN THE CAR!!!” while she was aggressively pointing at them and charging towards us. This is the result of what happens when you put someone with little to no training in an authority position. My adrenaline was going for a moment because of the way she was coming at us while another gentleman started riding toward us on an ATV. I’m thinking there was some sort of catastrophe happening. I will say, the gentleman that rode up on us on the ATV was much calmer and spoke more calmly than his ego-driven untrained counterpart. Let’s make one thing clear, no laws were broken, maybe your policy. Let’s point out another thing, off duty law enforcement (if this is what you have, it wasn’t clear) has no further legal authority when acting in the capacity of a security guard. My passengers were already out of the car so it’s a shame they had to resort to intimidation tactics. Being the good people that they were AND because the male guard was respectful and spoke to them as adults should, they followed the rules. Make no mistake, if it were a different situation, they would have gotten out and went about their business. You have zero authority to force people back into a car. I recommend vetting your staff and maybe the gentleman on the ATV could properly train his maniacally aggressive coworker on how to handle these situations, especially when her ego gets a little bruised. If she continues to act this way and do what she did today, which is make people feel like they have to get ready to defend themselves, she is going to put herself in a bad situation some day. No one deserves to be put in this kind of situation or be made to feel like they are committing some sort of mass atrocity. This is something you expect from an immature, unwise first time manager. This person should NEVER be in charge of another human being. If this is such an important policy for you that you are willing to become this aggressive and scream I recommend clear or clearer signage and station one of your more competent staff members at the entry to direct people. Maybe one of the guys sleeping on their ATV/golf carts in the back of the market would work? Best wishes, hope I never have to drive here again. All that noise because someone was being dropped off at your business to spend money,...
Read moreTheir Bullies scared my grandma into walking down 231. They were screaming at her that she wasn't allowed there or something. Pretty much exactly what Tom Donavan said happened to him, screaming at her, an 87 year old lady, like a maniac. Thank god some kind soul picked her up and took her to safety. I will not be surprised if eventually they get sued by someone. That is if they don't go out of business. (Which I expect and hope will happen soon) It's literally little Mexico which is fine I am not a hater, but it's all stuff that appeals to the Mexican people and culture. So keep that in mind if you want to go and be prepared to be treated like you are a naughty child by gung ho security...
Read moreMeh. It was ok. Mostly new items. The same things being sold in multiple locations. Decent food options, the cup of corn was delicious. A few vendors selling live animals, mostly poultry. This poultry was in good condition. Many looking ill with respiratory issues. Others were pecking/plucking each other due to too many shoved into small cages. I honestly think the Dept. of Agriculture needs to make a check. We sanitized our footwear upon returning home as not to infect our own flock. My husband did get a nice guayabera shirt for...
