Primitive Pickings — Local services in Lebanon

Well, the place looks awesome and I heard so much about it we figured lets make the trip. It was only about 130 easy highway miles from Boston, and now that Emirates has a nonstop from Dubai we got a first class Suite with shower and and on-call Concierge! They think of everything! Unfortunately my wife doesn’t and didn’t consider the seasons in New England, and that Spring hasn’t sprung yet. so I’m outside of Primitive Pickings right now and it’s closed. I’m booking an Air B & B for the summer and trying to find a phone number for the owner.

Meanwhile, I’m going to straighten up the property a bit it looks like no one‘s been around since late fall, but I thought I’d help them get ready for the season. Should...

I got some gorgeous Mums that were busting out of their pots, and saw what I thought would be a quick snack by the register. I picked up a maple cinnamon bun as I checked out, and while driving on the way home I opened it only to have a large amount of maple syrup which had been gathered in the package drain out onto my shorts so now now only was I sticky, but looked as if I'd wet my pants! The cinnamon bun was terribly dry so I carefully searched the package & finally found a date of 9/7/23 on it. My bad for not looking for a date before I bought it... It was only 12 days...

Stopped in to look around and pick up some farm fresh goodies. Upon entering there was a lady sitting by a couple of dogs while she was eating. We were looking at the fresh baked bread when we noticed that she would take a bite off the fork and then feed the dog a bite off the fork and then continued eating with it. Enough said. The fresh vegetables looked really good but the canned jelly, pickles, honey, and spice mix all looked old, dusty and faded. Plus we kinda lost our appetite after the dog incident.... would have to pass...
