As much as I would like to give 4 or 5 stars at the last race of the season 10/8/2022 I noticed 1st through 3rd place drivers being recognized for their skills and perseverance, as they should be. What I also noticed was driver Norton #7 late model not being interviewed when clearly he deserved to, after proving his way into 3rd place. I spearhead several sponsors and try to be a mentor to drivers and will be advocating for 2023 season. How do I assure our sponsors that there is a true comrade and acknowledgment of sportsmanship cohesively being demonstrated from the speedway? These guys and gals put their lives on the line, to be the best and deserve fair and unbiased recognition for their dedication, hard work and bravery that goes into what we, the fans; show up for. Read moreFun place! Never been to a race before. A bunch of shorter races, then 2 main event 30-40 lap races. Very loud, but you can buy foam earplugs for a buck a pair. A bargain. WEAR THEM. Nothing more annoying/sad than an old person yelling at you to speak louder. Met a driver in the stands. Had mechanical issues or something so he couldn’t race that night. Was a great source of info. Didn’t eat, but the beer prices were reasonable. One thing was kinda weird. Dude at the gate wanted me to put on clear plastic underwear. Was thrown a bit by that. I passed on that, but I think we have a date now. TBH, I’m not sure he even worked there. Bonus: LHS volleyball players were having a 50/50 raffle. Was happy to throw $20 at them to help them out (and make someone’s night who walked away...
