Aldi is a great place to shop. Today the had outdoor furniture on sale and my daughter wanted a set of 4 of the chairs and a couple of rocking chairs. Well my son and I just happened to be up there and she said just get a rocking chair and the patio set. Well they didn't have the patio set in yet so she said just get a rocking chair. I did this and took it to her this was at 10am ish. Later she decided she wanted another rocker and the 4 chairs so I decided to run back up to Belton and get the chairs no big deal they had a bunch when I was there. Well around 1 o'clock I get there and there is 1 chair and 4 or 5 rockers. So I get the chair and rocker and ask the young man that I spoke with earlier if there were possibly more on the back and he said no he had just brought out the last ones they had but he could check the computer to see if any other stores had some. Well the Lee's Summit store on Chipman Rd had 25 and the store on 50 hwy had 10. He recommended try the store on Chipman first, I did that and I got there approximately 20 minutes later and there were 4 chairs left and a few rockers. Needless to say I purchased 3 more chairs there and my daughter is a happy camper. I really appreciate the young man at the Belton store and his excellent Customer Service. Yes I do most of my shopping at Aldi if at...
Read moreThis was only my second time at the Aldi in Lees Summit and I won’t be going back. I had my three kids with me ages 4, 2, and 18 months. I bought a full cart of groceries and I was packing them into bags while also trying to wrangle two of my 3 kids when the cashier who checked me out came over to hand me a broom and a dust pan, telling me my 18 month old had dropped some of his teddy grahams. I looked at her and asked her if she was telling me to sweep and she said yes she was because she had already swept up some he dropped at the register. This cashier didn’t have any customers in line when she came to hand me the broom. She walked back to the register, grabbed her drawer, and went to the back room. I looked at where my son had spilled his snack and there were indeed 10-15 teddy grahams on the floor which with a broom and dustpan would have taken her less than 10 seconds to sweep. It’s not even about the grahams. When I went to leave the store I would have seen them and picked them up. It’s her absolute lack of ability to read the room and to provide good customer service. Heather the cashier should find work in a field that doesn’t involve working...
Read moreIt's usually a good place to shop.
We've been noticing that the produce from this location hasn't been lasting. Idk much about the process for store layout and delivery, etc. So I am not pointing fingers - this is purely opinion
That said, idk if it's the best idea having the produce next to the entry doors? The variable temperature doesn't seem good? Idk if that is a "must do" because that's how ALDI stores are set up, but maybe something to look into?
Seeing overly molded strawberries, oranges, peaches that are rotten, and oozing juice through the bag. Again, these things happen at other stores...but we try to only shop ALDI because of the better prices.
We've been having to go elsewhere for produce and even some meat because it's been going bad too quickly, and we've noticed excess moisture, which has made us not buy certain items.
Again - purely our experience and my opinion - I know production lines have suffered from the...
