Assistant Manager Verine, who claimed to be the store manager, needs to be retrained or taught empathy and compassion. This Aldis did not sell any bandaids which was needed due my little boy cutting his hand while exiting at the store. I asked Vernie if he could kindly grab us a single bandaid from the stores first aid kit which he claimed that the store doesn’t have any. Several laws are in place requiring that all work places / Food Industries / Food Handling businesses maintain a viable first aid kit for employees. I know Aldi is no exception. When checking out I asked the cashier on the closed check out lane to check for a bandaid and that’s when Vernie runs up saying “I already told them we don’t have any” but the employee already had offered to go grab one. Vernie then stated that “he doesn’t know where he’ll get one from..... he must have them in his pocket because I already told you we don’t have any in the store”. The employee looked intimated and Vernie had a narcissistic attitude/anger demeanor he carried with him so we decided to shop elsewhere. Home Depot next door immediately grab a bandaid and ointment from the first aid kit, located at pro desk entrance, and told us not to worry about the cost. If your kid ever needs assistance and you’re near a Home Depot, go there. Don’t...
Read moreThis has become our go-to grocery store for staple foods. As with all Aldi's, there isn't a huge selection of anything, but I have no complaints about the quality of the food (as a matter of fact, I think their fresh vegetables, chicken breasts, and hamburger are better quality that the other local large grocery stores). Their eggs are about half the cost of other local stores for the same quality. They have a nice small selection of low cost wines and bread, and we always buy our canned goods here. There are certain foods different people have aversion to in generic versions--for me it's peanut butter. My shopping routine has been to go to Aldi's first, buy everything they have that I am willing to get there, and then head over to one of the bigger local stores for name brand items that I am willing to pay more for (soda, chips, and alcohol for example). Over the time that lived here I have discovered and been amazed at how much more food I can get here for the same price than I can get at the other local stores, and I will continue to shop here as long as they continue doing business they way they...
Read moreThis location (L.S.) is not my normal shopping location. BELTON store is currently being remodled. I went out of my way to get to (L.S.) location. I however will not return. The prices were a lot higher and the cashier, currently only had one, needed two, probably three was rude and uncaring. She treated my groceries like rocks as she scanned them and THREW them into the basket, denting some of the cans. My perishables were treated with the same disrespect. ALDI, your growing and your presence is becoming greater. PLEASE dont turn greedy and become just another "big box store". I was told by one of your employees that the reason the credit card scanners are "swipe only" is that the "chip reader" option has been disabled on purpose because it took longer to complete the transaction and management is more concerned with time quantity and not customer safety. The chip in a credit card is for my added safety. Bigger is not...
