Normally, I absolutely love this store. This trip was different. I love finding 100 different things that I really don't need, but I just can't resist. And that's exactly what I did. My husband stayed in this store with me for almost 2 hours while I went through almost every aisle. You see, I hadn't been there in a while, and I'm a very frugal woman, and they had an amazing clearance section. While in the clearance section, I noticed a gentleman who worked there looked like he was straightening up a shelf or something. I didn't really pay too much attention until I saw him in the next aisle and then the next aisle and then the next section for the next hour and a half this man followed us throughout the store. I understand I'm probably unusual because I literally stop and look at every single thing and go through every aisle but that's what you want as a retail shop. You same me to look at everything and you want me to buy a lot, right? Well, I almost didn't because this man made me so upset. I had almost $200 worth of stuff in my cart. While checking out I mentioned something to the woman at the register and she said oh he was just trying to make sure that there was nothing on the floor. I said no that wasn't the case that would have easily been able to be done without following us through every single step of the store and every section that I went to he was there. I understand they don't want people stealing and I get that but we were literally the only people in the store except for one other lady I just didn't appreciate the assumption that we're doing something bad. My husband and I are business owners ourselves so we understand business and how it runs. I just think this could have been handled a...
Read moreThree strikes you're out! First experience was during their grand opening. Shelves empty; no management presence or sales staff presence on sales floor; two cashiers. Horrible customer service. Second experience I asked the cashier during checkout (only one this time!) if she knew the price off the top of her head for a lighted, balcony umbrella. She said she didn't. I did not expect her to know the price, but what I did expect was her to say, "No I don't, but let me find someone who does. Let me call someone..." Horrible customer service. Third and last experience - at the checkout (again, only one cashier), I let the cashier know that in one of the pillow aisles there was a puddle of water - note throughout the store the ceiling is leaking and there are buckets with "wet floor" signs, but not in this aisle! I mentioned to her that I fell pretty hard so she needed to call someone to get it mopped up. She said, "Okay." Nothing about, âare you okay?" "Are you hurt?" She rang me up, took my money, did not say thank you and continued with the next customer. No call or page to management (although I do not think they exist there) to clean up water. I can promise she still hasn't addressed the issue. There are older people that shop there and I hope one of them, or anyone, gets them! Horrible customer service. Horrible customer service is the theme and today was the last straw. Keep this up At Home; you won't be in the Kansas City area for long.

Read moreI like their selection, however today we decided to buy patio furniture. I had a 25% coupon, told I could only use once. We picked up a tear off tab at the display of the furniture we wanted. When at the register (3 cashiers) 2 didn't know how to handle the tear off tab, the 3rd one pointed at the furniture and said we'd have to go get it for them to ring it up. I asked if we could have help (this patio furniture was not wicker or anything light). So the cashier wanted to know if I wanted to go ahead and pay for the rug and pay again when my daughter got the furniture up there. (And not use 25% off?) No help coming? Guess not and the cashiers apparently knew it. My daughter went and got two pieces and had to find another bigger cart and still no one to help. I requested to talk to the manager, she was sorry someone didn't help but she was the only one on the floor and she had to help other people on her way over to help us. The manager said they can't walk 5 steps without someone wanting help. So you put 3 people on the register and 1 on the floor? My daughter had two people ask her if she worked there cause they couldn't find anyone to help them either. The manager said she had 5 people working today and one was at lunch. So disappointed in the service! I'll be hard pressed to...
