We recently encountered an unsatisfactory experience at Beauty Brands in Lee's Summit, Missouri, primarily due to the unprofessional conduct displayed by Carrah. My cousin received a haircut and full highlight service provided by Joelynn; however, the results did not align with our expectations. During the service, Joelynn sought assistance from Carrah, indicating that Carrah had previously trained her. Unfortunately, rather than providing constructive feedback, Carrah was dismissive and offensive, which heightened our frustration. We left the salon feeling dissatisfied not only with the quality of the service but also with the apparent lack of collaboration and support among the staff. Furthermore, Carrah frequently interrupted and spoke over her managers, who seemed hesitant to assert themselves, which created an impression of intimidation toward both her supervisors and colleagues. The quality of the highlights was unsatisfactory, as the color was only faintly visible upon close inspection. The haircut was similarly disappointing. When we requested a re-service, Carrah responded with rudeness, raising her voice to reprimand us. While attempting to convey our concernsâfollowing the guidance provided by the front deskâCarrah interrupted, stating, "I do not care what you are saying; I am telling you how it is." This response left us feeling frustrated and disrespected, prompting us to escalate our concerns to the manager. We anticipated courteous treatment and the quality of service that we had expected. In contrast, Carrah insisted that we leave the salon and demanded payment for the services rendered. We declined to pay for a service with which we were dissatisfied, and in response, she accused us of theft. Ultimately, we agreed to settle the amount of $187.29 for the service after receiving assistance from Alexis, who facilitated a rescheduling for a corrective appointment to take place the following day. Carrah demonstrated a significant deficiency in customer service skills, speaking over us and inhibiting our ability to express our concerns. Should an employee of this nature represent your establishment, I strongly advise potential clients to consider alternative options. It would be beneficial for Carrah to improve her approach to customer interactions, or to explore alternate employment opportunities. It is imperative for businesses to prioritize customer satisfaction, as it can considerably influence their reputation. Constructive feedback serves to help employees advance, provided they are willing to listen and adjust to the needs of their clients. On a positive note, Alexis, the shift manager, demonstrated kindness and flexibility in her approach. She facilitated a re-service with Susan, who exhibited a high level of professionalism and executed her responsibilities commendably. We express our sincere gratitude to Susan for her dedicated efforts in addressing the prior errors. In acknowledgment of her outstanding service, we provided her with a...
Read moreI made appointments with Alex Murray to get my hair to blonde. I showed her a picture of the blonde color I wanted a couple times. She put bleach on my hair and then toner. Apparently when hair is orange after bleach, hairstylists are supposed to continue bleaching it again to get it to a lighter color but she didnât do that. And she was supposed to put toner again on the bottom half of my hair again because my hairâs bottom half still had orange hair but she didnât do that either instead of putting on toner again she put on brown hair dye on it. At first, a few days before putting on brown hair dye she told me that sheâs not gonna put hair dye on me because my âhair doesnât need hair dye since itâs light enoughâ my hair was not light enough and which is a crazy thing to say to a client because the whole point of bleach and toner is to put hair dye on it afterwards. Then at the next hair appointment I asked her nicely to put blonde hair dye on my hair, she put on this orangeish light brown hair dye. And then Alex told me that âafter putting on this brown color my hair will get lighter after I showerâ I showered later and my hair color did not turn lighter. I did not ask for brown hair that is not what I wanted I asked for blonde hair. I canât believe I paid $280 just to end up with the wrong hair color. I gave the receptionist my phone number to have Alex call me so that I can talk to Alex on the phone to ask for a refund for half my money back but itâs been a week and she never called me. My coworkers told me to go to beauty brands again to ask Alex to fix my hair but I will not do that because I do not trust her with my hair. For almost $300 she ripped me off and I will go to a better hairstylist who knows what theyâre doing I will not go to Alex again and I will not go to beauty...
Read moreKennedi did a half-up curled style for me and my long hair today, in preparation for maternity pictures I was having done. I am writing this review as a way of expressing my gratitude, because she was so wonderful!
I came to my appointment after having my makeup done, and was feeling very shy about my over the top makeup. Kennedi got right to work and was so sweet. I have super long hair and I donât really have a designated stylist because I rarely do anything drastic enough to have a consistent person, I usually just kind of go to whoever is available when Iâm ready to get my hair cut.
BUT. Kennedi might have just become my new person!! She was the first stylist Iâve been to in a long time where we could just have a nice conversation without awkward silence. I didnât feel like part of a task list of customers she was rushing to get through. She took her time and was friendly and made sure I was liking what she was doing.
Thank you so much for the...
