Got told to exit the water due to lighting. We haven’t seen one sighting of lighting/thunder/ rain in the hour we’ve been sitting on the beach. We were told there is lighting 10 miles away….The people on the boats anchored out don’t seem to be worried one bit of some lighting 10 miles away…. Waste of money to pay $9 for an adult & $7 for kids to swim at a lake.. cheaper to swim at the public pool. We won’t be back. 😊

The Rangers were so nice! The staff was nice too. We had a great afternoon for Father's day! PS... No metal detectors allowed!

Well it was Father's day so me and my family went out to the Blue Springs swim beach area to have so family fun but it wasn't all that fun there was this blond lady that was apart of the staff there and she seem like she was in charge of the swimming area and all this lady did was yell and was very mean to everybody I think this lady should be fired that no way to act when you got family s there enjoying being out side way wrong person for that job but it did end there this black family showed up and brought a grill inside the fence area and was trying to have a family BBQ and that blond lady could of told them politely that they couldn't have the grill inside nope she couldn't do that the right thing instead she waited untill they got the grill going and it was very hot and smoking and demanding they move it right there and now plus you can tell this blond lady was a racist because when she approach them she had to take with her two male lifeguards that look like two thugs she could of had handle that better but she also had to call for a park ranger before talking to the family and I don't understand why our law enforcement and the swim beach staff have to be racist when are we going to get pass that so I won't go there anymore plus my family and friends and my church won't use this place maybe someone will do something about...

I used to come here as a kid with my family and it was always something I looked forward to and enjoyed. I finally got the chance to take my own children here and all they could do was talk about how much they loved it and wanted to come back as much as possible. People complain about the cost but, you're paying for the safety of lifeguards and with having 4 children, I will gladly pay for that extra safety measure! Everyone needs to make money for the work they do and this includes the lifeguards. They were friendly and interactive and one even took the time on his break to come out to interact with my family in the water, answer questions my children had about the beach and even offer swimming tips to my son who is learning to swim! No, the water isn't crystal clear because it is a LAKE. It doesn't mean it is nasty or dirty. I would give it more than 5 stars if I could...it was a wonderful family day with good down to...

Very crowded when we went, parking lot nearly full and a lot of Very loud families taking up most of the water. Families were jumping from boats into the swimming area, but the Moment anyone in the swim area ducked the rope towards the boats, INSTANT whistle, cursing, and rude discipline from the lifeguard, including asking people to leave. At $6 per person to swim in a damn lake, I feel like they could be a bit more kind and professional, and maybe even clean the bathrooms...
