I stopped by Buff City after getting some laundry soap samples that had smelled SO good, I wanted to see what else they had to offer! I didn’t have a ton of time to browse since I had to get to work, but I grabbed a soap bar, a soap bar bag (basically a loofah that the bar goes inside of), and a charcoal facial cleanser bar. I have sensitive skin and have tried multiple products in the past that claim to be gentle enough to not cause irritation - everything either has not worked well or has caused me to have dry, itchy skin. The soap bar I got from Buff City FINALLY achieved what I thought was impossible - it worked wonderfully and made my skin feel GREAT! The bag made it easy to handle the bar and created ample suds. Not only did the scent stay on my skin, it also made the entire bathroom smell amazing. Since that went so well, I decided to give the facial cleanser bar a try. I’m only on my second night using it so I can’t tell whether or not it’s making a difference in regard to my mild/moderate acne, but my skin does feel great and it didn’t make anything worse. I’ve always been hesitant about switching up my face washing products, but I’m cautiously optimistic that the charcoal cleanser bar might work as well - possibly even better - as the CeraVe I’ve been using. In conclusion, I have nothing but good things to say about the products AND the service! The team working there is helpful without being too pushy or invasive. I’ll definitely be going back for Christmas...
Read moreI’m pretty disappointed in buff city in general. I drove in today which is over an hour drive and yes, this seems crazy but I have chronic illnesses and this is the only laundry brand my skin tolerates that is scented so it is a necessity. I had a coupon for 50% off one item, in store only and it expires 9/4 so I came today, they told me they’re completely out and won’t restock until Friday or the weekend… after my coupon expires. This is a laundry store and they’re out of detergent? Waste of my drive, I get my dryer balls re-scented and decide to use my coupon on that because at least I’ll make some use of it. Apparently not, although they don’t sell dryer balls individually they charge them as so when they get re-scented so I got $1 off? That doesn’t even make sense. Why are you charging for them individually when they’re not sold that way. Had I known a laundry and soap store can sell out of their main product — laundry detergent, I would’ve called ahead and made sure it was in stock before driving two hours round trip for absolutely nothing and now I get to pay full price for detergent which is very expensive without a coupon but I have no other choice with my skin conditions. I can’t purchase online either because the scent that doesn’t trigger migraines and my skin condition is not...
Read moreSpent roughly $50 for a cutom batch of soap. Asked for cherry almond and honey oatmeal mixed and was told that those were the strongest scents. Really got sold. Went to pick up my bars and left questioning if they forgot to add the scent at all?
The woman said they would grow stronger over time?
Honestly HEAVY waste of that much money. Asked if I could get them to redo the batch and they said no and they also didn’t do refunds. Don’t waste your money for anything custom. They are also cut WAY SMALLER than the regular...
