Nice complex with lots of space between fields. Parking is fairly limited, the grass parking to west is pretty rough when pulling so cars have to be very careful.
Nice to see with the turf fields the pitching rubber is not elevated like at a lot of cross purpose fields.
Concessions had a good variety of food and the bathrooms were really clean for being ball park restrooms at 9 PM at night.
The following I am going to put on the organiziation running the tournament but still it was at this facility. Paying 8 bucks for a single 900 PM game is ridiculous. Getting in took forever with at least 30 people lined up because the lady had to put the wrist bracelet on every single person and she was not in any hurry. When we played here the one night we had a lightning delay. The fields that were facing the lightning kept playing and finished their games 10 minutes after the other fields had already went into a delay. Those fields that kept playing the umps said they keep playing unless they are told to stop. Also, the teams were allowed to stay in the dugouts as well as spectators in the metal stands; not typical were we are from. Our field had the worst tweaking umps I have ever seen. I am going to guess this all goes back to the organization running the tournament but still this is something to be aware of.
Nice park and has been for a long time. Definitely like playing here more than a lot of other parks in...
Read morePros:
Fields are not to far from each other like some parks.
Turf fields are a plus. We aren't breathing dust all day.
Paved sidewalks.
Concessions decent but costly. We took in our own drink and snacks so this worked well and we appreciated being able to bring food/drink that works best for us.
Not far from other businesses in Lee's Summit.
Cons:
$8 to get in per day is INSANE! They offer no weekend pass therefore it's almost $50 for parents to watch their kid play the tournament... Not to mention high for grandparents to have to pay also! The cost is NUTS!
Restrooms were not clean even at the start of the tournament. There are also only four stalls which makes the wait long for the restrooms and doesn't work well to be able to get back to the next game or practice.
There isn't much shade around the fields to watch the games however there is some shade under trees in the center of the complex.
Not enough handicap spaces in parking.
There seems to be no security to enforce handicap parking or to ensure vehicles aren't broken into as this location is known for.
Some umpires were a little sketchy looking and not sure were all there.
People doing wrist bands could be more friendly. Each of the three days we were there they seem to be on the grumpy side.
Overall decent complex (we have seen worse) but definitely room for improvement given the amount they are...
Read moreOverall we had a good experience at our tournament there. The way the people taking your money smoke while taking it (blowing it in my face 2 out of the 3 times) was repulsive! (As is spending $30 to watch my kid play baseball and offering no weekend pass). Turf infields were nice. Blue which is interesting, but the boys didn't care. Grass outfield is nice for balls not rolling forever, but messy when it's rainy. We had some AMAZING umps and sadly one set of REALLY disappointing umps. Bathrooms were larger than normal. Had toilet paper each time (which is amazing) but had so many cobwebs. Food/beverages were all extremely reasonably priced. Nothing over $5 (which paying $10 to get in, was surprising). We never used it, so I can't comment on how...
