Gamber Community Center — Local services in Lee's Summit

The customer service is awful. I was part of a wedding here and encountered several rude people working here. I was highly disappointed.

My fiance had a broken foot while we were here. And during the rehearsal dinner, we asked for ice for his swelling foot and they denied us. The next day, we found out they had an ice machine in the kitchen. But because we weren't a part of the party using the kitchen, they wouldn't let us get a small amount of ice.

While getting ready for the wedding, we were rudely interrupted by a lady telling us that we only had 30 minutes left in that room. But the bride's mother extended the reservation. When the bride told her that, the lady argued with her. It was very unprofessional.

It is operated by the Lee's Summit parks and recreation which is an embarrassment to the city of Lee's Summit. The city should be ashamed to have such careless people...

Cannot say enough good things about our experience. We rented the full ballroom for our daughter’s engagement party and from the time of booking Evan was so wonderful to the set up. Always so helpful and nice. Joe was on duty the night of the party and he was so great and did so much to help us out! I cannot Recommend the gamber center enough. This place hires the rudest people and has terrible customer service. We had a bridal shower there in April 2024 and still are dealing with the incompetence of them not getting my husbands name right on the refunded deposit check, straight up ignoring phone calls, and running us around in circles for 6 months.
