My Mom and I love Kirklands! We go shopping there every chance we get and we've been going for a few years now. We haven't had one bad experience until now. We live in Texas, but we were out of town on vacation in Missouri and we decided to stop in at the store in Lee's Summit, MO (store #677) I wanted to use my birthday reward (spend $20 get $5 off). I found a table whiskey barrel that I knew my brother would love. Unfortunately, it had a fairly large crack all the way down the side of it. I asked a lady who was working (Associate #1008333 Kathryn) and she said she would take 50% off. There were 2 barrels on display and BOTH of them had a fairly large crack all the way down the side of it. So, I decided to go with the one I thought looked the least damaged. Another associate carried it up to the register for me. Kathryn then came to the register and looked at the barrel. She turned to me and told me she would give 50% off the other barrel not this one. Which I then replied with they both have the large crack down the side. She said yes they do, but this one is cracked down the "seam" the other is not. So she said she would give me only 25% off of that one. After thinking about it, I decided to just go ahead and go with the one that was 25% off since I was giving it to my brother. She then told me I couldn't use my birthday reward on "as is" items so my Mom went and got 2 vases with flowers that I was looking at earlier and decided to buy them for me. However, when that was rung up as a separate transaction it was 2 cents short of spending the $20 to get the $5 off. 2 CENTS. She wouldn't let me use the reward, I had to buy something else she said. We decided to just not get the vases then. So I ended up leaving the store and not spending my birthday reward. I felt Kathryn was being a little petty with us. I was not happy with my experience at all!!! I will not be returning to this store when we come back to town. I hope this is not a new standard by Kirklands as a way to treat...
Read moreIf I could give 0 stars I would. Bought a set of 2 pillows that's we're on sale for $24 from their original price found at bath and body works for $40, also found again on Amazon for $40. I was charge $24 twice (final sale, no returns)... Went back to the store and the lady said we sell those separately here. Excuse me! The tag says set of 2. So at Kirklands they like to take items separate them out and the put them on "sale" for more ($8 more than original price if you buy 2) extremely disappointed. First time shopping where I won't be back.
I'll be contacting corporate as this is an ethical issue and it seems this Kirkland likes to do shady business. No thank you. I'm not even mad about the price, I'm irritated.
Especially when the lady at the computer says, well we don't even have that item in our system. Or when she said well you can't prove it's sold as a set. What?? The manufacturer tag states set of 2. That's proof enough.
My theory is that something happened with shipment and supply so this Kirkland bought these pillows potentially from Amazon separated them and decided to sell them separately because they look extremely similar to the Kirkland brand denim pillow. Even the pillow the lady brought up was missing the manufacturer tag, but all the other...

Spacious store full of home goodies!! I liked the selection, sales prices, plenty of items to choose from, staff was helpful without being overwhelming, knowledgeable & pleasant, and excellent music! That kept me in the store longer because I kept singing to the hits! Music def helps the shopping experience esp if you like it. Purchased a three wick that day. Smells of cake and vanilla so my home smells like a delicious patisserie 🍰🧁will def be going back. You can also sign up easily to earn rewards online...
