Lolita Collective — Local services in Lee's Summit

Updated review: they had the doors propped open at 5 minutes til open, but told us they weren't open yet, which is totally reasonable. What is not reasonable is that we sat outside the shop waiting for them to open until about 11:15. At one point they posted a sign on the door saying they'll be closed during Planet Anime, which is fine, but that doesn't start until tomorrow. If they were late opening or not opening today, there's no reason they couldn't have said something to my friends and me who were clearly waiting outside for the shop to open. I was excited to show my friends from out of town the shop, but they will have to leave and won't get a chance to check it out. I'm not usually one to complain, especially as someone who has worked customer service, but they could at least have acknowledged us. Super...

Normally don’t leave reviews but we were visiting from far away (UK and Hawaii) and were very excited to visit, had our local friend drive out of her way. First time we came and found them closed it was on us, google maps said it was open but if we’d checked their official hours we would have seen it’s open Thurs-Sun only. So we came back Thurs morning before 11 en route to the airport, waited 15 min to find a sign saying they were closed for a convention, fine but…. I came here for the first time a few weeks ago. As someone who is usually a size 28-30 and weighs close to 400 pounds, I am used to not finding anything to wear, especially in specialty boutiques. However, I was able to find multiple dresses, blouses, and petticoats that fit me. I have never had such a fantastic experience in a clothing store before.
