During my last visit to this location, I experienced exceptionally poor customer service. Over the years, Iāve purchased a great deal of clothing here - mostly suits, sport coats, slacks, shirts, etc. Iāve usually just purchased what was recommended, without a great deal of regard for price. In short, I wasnāt specifically shopping for items on sale.
The last time I visited, I went to the store specifically to buy a couple of casual jackets that were on sale. I even reserved one of these deeply discounted jackets online (it was $60 instead of the regular $200). When I arrived I asked to see the jacket. The sales staff, for whatever reason, was not able or willing to locate the jacket Iād reserved. When I told them I was interested in seeing other jackets that were similarly priced or on sale, they kept presenting me with expensive, full price alternatives. When they finally realized that I was only willing to buy a cheap jacket, they became very unhelpful.
Actually, āunhelpfulā doesnāt even come close to describing what I experienced. I was ignored by almost everyone. The three individuals who did speak to me - after I made it a point to engage with them - were dismissive, rude, and haughty. Both my wife and I truly felt like were were being treated like poor people who wandered into a rich persons store and werenāt wanted. The staff CLEARLY did not want to help us.
I finally told two staff who were standing together āItās very clear you arenāt interested in helping me.ā I turned around abruptly and told my family āLetās goā. No one attempted ANY sort of customer service recovery. And, no one corrected my conclusion. They simply let us leave; obviously very happy to not have to help the couple who didnāt want to spend much money that day.
I donāt know how much money Iāve spent at Menās Wearhouse over the years, but itās not insignificant. With only two exceptions in 42 years, Iāve never bought a suit anywhere else. But, my experience was so terrible, that I will NEVER step foot in this store again. And unless Iām under some sort extreme duress, I will never make a purchase from Menās Wearhouse again.
I would advise anyone to avoid this store - especially if youāre shopping for a bargain and want to be...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI went to Men's Wearhouse to get 3 dress slacks repaired for minor rips. I've had stuff repaired by them before. They do an awesome job. I was also going to buy two pairs of brand new slacks. Come check out time the customer service rep tells me the Taylor request that I have my slacks taken to the dry cleaners first. I tell the rep that they are clean, I'm sorry I didn't bring them on hangers and have them ironed and everything but I really don't have time to go to the dry cleaners. He then proceeds to tell me it is state law that clothes need to go to the cleaners before they can be worked on. So I sit there for a second just thinking to myself, $15 for repairing three dress slacks and it's a two-week turnaround time, which I was fine with all of that but you want me to go spend more money for a $15 repair and today was my only day off which the dry cleaners are never same day return. I laughed and I said I will take my clothes. I start driving off and it really just left me dumbfounded that I was refused business. So it was eating at me so bad, I called the company, I asked for the manager Turns out the manager was the same guy that helped me. I Express to him how I felt and how I felt judged because he was saying my clothes weren't clean when they were then he proceeds to tell me that people have body oils and pee dribble and that the tailor just really prefers to have clothes dry-cleaned before they work on them after he said all that it just made me feel even more like I was being judged and I was not good enough to buy clothes from them or have work done by them. I brought close to them before for repairs and never been told they need to go to the dry cleaners. I'm extremely dissatisfied with the treatment I got and the results I got from my phone call with the manager. You guys really came off as pretentious snobs and I'm not quite sure if I will ever give you my...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreJust a bad overall experience from start to finish. I went to get measured for a rental as I was going to be in the wedding party for a good friend of mine. I got my measurements taken by a girl who seemed very unconfident in her own abilities or knowledge of the job. She handed me some clothes and just said "here ya go" without any instruction. After having to pry doing her job out of her I left feeling very concerned.
My fears came true when I went to pick up the tux, it was awful. The measurements were conpletely off, it made me look like I gained 50 lbs and lost 6 inches or height. I'm pretty average, 5'11 200 lbs so I didn't think finding a jacket would be tough but apparently it is. When the tailor I was working with asked me how I thought it looked we both agreed it looked terrible. He assured me he would get it fixed in time.
A few days later I went to pick it up, one sleeve was noticeably longer than the other, the shoulder pads were creased and it again looked terrible. When I asked about it the man working said "Oh yeah when we go up a size there isn't much we can do" to which I replied "but you went down a size for the jacket" and he without missing a beat said "oh yeah when we go down a size there isn't much we can do..." So basically I was being fed a line of crap. I thought "oh well, not my wedding" but then it only got worse at the wedding. Two of the groomsmen were heavy set guys and we couldn't get the pants to stay tight on their waist, as the pants didn't have belt loops or suspenders, just built in adjustors that don't stay tight. This lead to the worst of it all when one of the groomsmen was making his entrance during the reception HIS PANTS FELL DOWN in front of everyone. Thank you Mens Wearhouse for a very embarrassing moment during what should have been a...
