Office Depot — Local services in Lee's Summit

I visited this location of Office Depot over the weekend to pick up a binder and a few office supplies. The store is very organized, clean, and has everything you need! When I approached the checkout, the cashier (Colleen) asked me if I had a phone number or frequent buyer card I would like to use. I handed her my card, which indicates I am an educator. She read the card and immediately began a long, loud rant (pointing her finger at my face) about how she HATES teachers, teachers are the WORST, she NEVER had a good teacher in her life, and her son never had a good teacher and now his son will never go to public school because teachers are awful. She ranted on and on for approximately ten minutes about how teachers come into her store and buy things, then she watches them "throw their trash all over the parking lot because they don't like the products we sold them." I was shocked. Never have I ever been treated so poorly by a store associate; especially in a store where I am certain many teachers shop. She continued ranting and pointing her finger in my face, then said, "well. you must be the exception because you seem somewhat nice!". The insults continued as I stood there in disbelief. My sister was with me, and when it was her turn to check out, Colleen asked her, "are you a teacher too?" to which my sister replied "no" and Colleen said , "well GOOD!". I will not be...

Every time I go into the store to order NCR receipts, it is a time consuming hassle! I know these forms are not used by many these days because of computers. But really it shouldn't be this hard. This is a printing company!!!First time I ordered forms I had a copy of what I needed. The clerk didm't know how to help because I didn't have it on electronic file. They promised they fixed the probs and had a staff meeting about it. They gave me an order form with all the info on it to bring the next time I ordered receipts. Said there would be no problem! Yesterday I tried to place an order and was told to come back today. They only have one person capable of handling this type of order. Came back today and waited 30 minuted for the clerk to tell me I needed to bring a hard copy!!!!! Really???.Which is it? Do u want a digital form or an old fashioned paper copy????? I went into this store for a few simple supplies. I was able to find what I needed. Two of the associates on the floor were really nice to check in on me to see if I needed help. The cashier (Roneisha) was no where near as friendly. I was waiting in line and a lady in front of me was asking the cashier where she could find a particular type of printer paper and she had an attitude with the customer and suggested going to Staples. Didn't try to help the customer or get someone else to help her, just tells her to go to a completely different business. Who does that?! I then placed my items on the counter. I asked her how she was doing and I got no response, just a blank stare. She didn't talk to me at all and didn't tell me my total. She just looked miserable, no smile, no "have a nice day".....nothing. It's like she didn't even want to be there. I truly don't understand why someone with that attitude would be in a customer...
