UPDATE - THEY REPLIED TO MY REVIEW TO ATTEMPT AND DISCREDIT IT
I was gonna let this go but okay - We did not "Accept free tickets". We tried to MAKE SURE YOU WERE THERE before using the COMPLIMENTARY TICKETS FROM THE MISTAKE and of course we got no response again so we finally gave up on the whole trip. It took another day to hear back and we were so over it.
Additionally - since we're reopening this I guess.. The owner called me hours after trying to go saying that there was "unforeseen circumstances" that wouldn't allow people to be in the building but "she couldn't tell us" - I told her we were in the building and she said it "Wasn't something we could see".. lol. AND my issue was not even so much that they were closed unexpectedly. It was that she knew about the closure for three days she said, and there was no Facebook post, voicemail message, or forwarded calls for walk-ins to have any idea. She kept putting the blame on something she couldn't tell us about, and then literally didn't respond the day we tried to redeem our "Free tickets".
We are NOT the only people this has happened to. Do not waste the trip - or at least get all the verification you can before hand that they will be open. I am disappointed in how nasty that passive aggressive comment was when I had let it go and even thought about coming in later and paying to visit/give another chance but no -- there's a way to be professional and handle your business and that is not it.
Drove from out of town and sat in the church basement called several times with nobody there. Business hours said they were open. Used to be awesome when in KC, but this church basement with nobody working is not the move.
Literally sat 10 minutes after “opening”. Called so many times and listened to the phone ring behind the shut door.
Good luck! Don’t...
Read moreBought tickets for 11am on NYE. Tickets were purchased off the website specifically for 11am. The Instagram page for Leawood advertised BOGO tickets. Savings would have been $20. The code provided by their Instagram page didn’t work. Purchased the tickets with intention of bringing it to businesses attention upon arrival. Four of us took the day off and traveled two hours for this 11am time slot we purchased tickets for. No workers showed up until 11:45AM. Sign on door and Google hours ALL stated hours of operation started at 11AM this day (a Friday). Upon arrival the worker stated that they opened at noon, even though the tickets said 11AM and the front door said 11AM. She said she would only honor $20 BOGO offer and offered nothing else as compensation for being almost an hour late as we waited around for someone to show up she then called the business owner, who was the most rude and offensive “owner” I have ever encountered. If the four of us hadn’t already TOOK OFF WORK, woke up early for hair + makeup, arranged X amount of time for baby sitters, plus travel TWO HOURS..we would’ve left simply for the poor handling by this business owner. When saying that we were business owners ourselves and would never operate or treat customers this way, the owner raised her voice and said EXCUSE ME?! As if she was offended there were other business owners in the world as well. Then proceeded to yell at us for speaking as we tried to explain to her our inconvenience. Giving one star bc the rooms were cute. Will never visit the Leawood...
Read moreCame out from Washington State to visit my best friend. She told me about this place and that walk-ins were taken. Honestly glad we didn't pay online because we probably wouldn't have gotten our money back. We drove a half hour to get there and the place was locked. Lights on. No one in sight. Called the number listed, no answer. The place is located at the bottom of a church. Didn't even know it was there until we walked around the whole building and then saw the smallest sign, with the logo. All the doors were locked. Very disappointed. 2 hours later, got a call and voicemail from the owner saying that she had a missed call from my number and that they were having issues with the phone at the business, and gave me her personal number. I did not call back. Because really, 1, you are an established business, if you have a missed call, don't call back 2 hours later. 2, again an established business according to Google, don't have hours of operation, if you're not going to be there during operating hours.
I don't need no bs comment back about how it was out of your control. You lost business today.

The last thing posted on your Facebook and Instagram are from June 2024 or later! I looked at your website to get your business phone number and nowhere did I see that y'all were closed because of no power. Had I seen that, I wouldn't have gone there in the...
