Summit Woods Crossing — Local services in Lee's Summit

Shopped at Lowe's, handy to have it so close to my house but they have minimal employees to help, the one's that ARE there to help I do however have good experience with and usually know what they're talking about. But they have the smallest, tightest parking spaces and seem to be cutting costs by only having self check out available. . .poor choice in my opinion. They dont have to pay the labor for someone to check you out but they'll lose money in the long run because of in inventory loss. . .not everyone is honest about making sure they ring everything up, or they just genuinely forget to ring something up that was in their cart. I know I've made a trip before and realized that I just totally spaced and forgot to ring things up on multiple occasions, never with the intention to steal, I'm just used to someone going through systematically and scanning everything, and those automated checkout machines are a joke they, tons of items wont ring up properly, for example plumbing parts. . .you can forget about anything made out of PVC ringing up correctly. I have had several rental homes as a 50 year old women. I have a special needs 22 year old needing adaptive safety and showering needs PLUS location away from the main highway. Alyssa, the property manager was AMAZING to find the PERFECT Townhome. Our rent comes with a standard Alarm system AND App to view our child's bedroom in our home. We were offered hand held showers for installation, a unit with a fenced yard away from roads, AND amazing maintenance who unclogged toilets THREE TIMES since we moved a month ago without hostility, fees or judgement! The neighborhood and grounds are beautiful and neighbors even pitched in to bring my Autistic child back home when she ran out my front door while I was making lunch! If you want a peaceful life, great amenities AND a wonderful community with managment that CARES come to Summit Crossing. My home is a special needs dream come true and this Autism Mama has no intention of ever moving again! Well......maybe if that Hollywood home with maid service is up for sale! Went here specifically looking for a laptop charger ( Best Buy had just closed). The place was one of the remodeled Targets (haven't been in a while) and it was very clean and quiet this time of night. The gentleman working in electronics was very professional a d he tried searching for the right charger which they didn't have (no biggy). Then we looked for an Xbox 360 controller which knowing how much a charger for laptop was going to cost, I knew that it wouldn't be in our budget for a new one at the price marked. But saw a game I would buy in the near future. The electronics guy was still very patient with us in answering all out questions and we bonded over stories of our times in the service. We left with nothing purchased but enjoyed looking around at the remodeled store and will be back around the holiday season to look at...
