I shopped in home depot in independence Missouri and it was a horrifying frustrating and maddening experience I have ever had. The store manager is totally clueless as to what's going on in his store. I placed an order online they did not have a truck available to rent which I that's understandable, they suggested that I rent a truck from Lee summit home depot which I did which I did. When I got to the Lisa home depot store I called the independent store to find out about my order, I was told it would be ready in 20 minutes. I rented the truck truck and drove to the independence home depot. When I got there my order was not ready and I was told that they had called to have someone fill it and this was at 2:30 nobody came to fill the order. I went ahead and made a purchase of a bathtub shower doors and sur round when they went to pull that those items and the only thing that was in stock was the shower doors. The customer service person pulled someone from the floor (standing there talking to another associate) to fill my online order. Although when I place the order online it showed the bead board I was ordering there was 67 in stock due to the fact that the collapse of time that went by There was none in stock by the time they got ready to fill it. They filled the order for the nails the adhesive the gun for the adhesive and the trim for the beadboard, which none were any good to me without the beadboard. I spent 3 hours with a with a rented truck that charges by the hour for nothing It had nothing to do with the Lee's Summit home depot so there was no complaint there to be made. Online orders should be filled immediately, they're already paid for! Waiting until a customer's ready to pick up an order is not the time to fill it by that time items would be out of stock even though when the order was placed it showed items were in stock.. Partial orders wouldn't be placed online when you're doing a project you look for all the items required.. Waiting to fill those orders is a huge error in judgment for business to make. The manager show be aware of what's coming in, who's filling the orders and how long it takes. The customer should be made aware of any items not available prior to arrival!. Clean up your store! Train your employees! Don't let people stand around with nothing to...
Read moreIn the last three years I have invested around 30 thousand dollars in repairs and remodeling my house, I live 7 minutes from this store and the distance is convenient for me, unfortunately I have had so many problems that I have decided to invest my money in another store that maybe only maybe I'll gey a better customer service. Some of the experiences: I bought my house floor, it took longer than estimated and we had to postpone the remodeling until the floor arrived I had to pay a fee to the workers and when it finally arrived two boxes were in bad condition so I took them back and the face of the employee who submit the refund seems like if come out of her package and never apologize.
Then the color of the interior house it was not what we ordered and when we went for an exchange instead of an apology we received a threat, they changed the painting but they told us that if we return it again they would not change it in a very rude way.
Now we are painting the exterior of the property and to avoid scenarios like the one mentioned we bought a small sample and we painted a small part to be sure and after deciding the color with took the sample they made and today when the painters prepare the house we find out that the paint is different color, it is incredible! That after took an sample that they made they still give me the wrong color. I wish I could upload the pictures of the sample color vs color received but wait! We buy the paint early this past week, before finding out the different of the color the drop that spilled the glass was when I went buy this plant and I pay in one of those automatic cashier and just right after I paid a boy ran to the door looked at me like if I'm a thief and asked me for the receipt, he saw the receipt and just said you're fine, he never apologized, no one ever in that store has ever apology! it's sad to know and it hurts to accept that because of your skin color or originen others will never see you as a decent human, don't matter how much education or polite you are, I cannot think in a different reason of their behavior, I hope tomorrow when I go to change the paint all goes ok and I hope I have never, ever have to go back...
Read moreWe ordered a dishwasher and microwave on July 11 from Home Depot. The appliances were delivered to our home on July 18. We paid for installation for both appliances. When the installers (MY2K) came to our home, they told us they had 15 minutes to install both appliances. They proceeded to install the microwave. Being in such a hurry they ended up tearing up our cabinets during installation. The whole time they were looking at their watch saying it was past their 15 minutes and they had another installation scheduled. They looked at the dishwasher, said it could not be installed because they were unable to remove the old dishwasher due to not enough clearance between the granite countertop & the wood floor. With that, they left our home, leaving us to figure out what to do with the new dishwasher. We contacted Home Depot. We pulled out the old dishwasher, which took about 10 minutes. There was absolutely no issues with clearance and we ended up installing the new dishwasher. We ran a wash cycle & the dishwasher would not heat properly so we contacted Home Depot once again. They called Bosch and Bosch sent out a technician who ran three cycles with the water temperature never reaching more than 80 degrees. The heating element and control panel did not work. The technician said it was no fault of ours and the dishwasher needed new parts. We asked Home Depot to take the damaged one back and replace it with a new one. Home Depot wants Bosch to replace it. Bosch wants to repair it instead of replacing it. Parts have been ordered but we have no timeline of when the parts will arrive. Bosch originally said it could take up to 6 to 8 weeks for repair. This is day 10 and we still have no working dishwasher and no idea when we will get one. We deserve a new dishwasher, not one that has never worked and needs repair.
Don't buy an appliance from Home Depot!! They have a 48 hour major appliance return policy on defective or damaged appliances. The installers did not abide by that policy since they refused to install our dishwasher. Our 48 hour clause was never actually activated but Home Depot is using that to not take responsibility for a...
