The Merrymaker Collective — Local services in Lee's Summit

I went and had a great time, saw lots of stuff for Christmas gifts for family. Saw some head bands I thought I recognized. Sure enough they are from Shien and being sold in store as boutique. I was shocked and know they carry a lot of different small businesses so I inquired about it thinking they had no idea. Well I'm guessing they know and are the ones getting them because I was blocked after asking that question. It's sad because they have a ton of great stuff from truely small businesses that I would love to be able to support in a one stop shop. That is why I went to the store in the first place. I have made a point to avoid places like Temu and Shein and even big places like Walmart and Target as much as possible. I just felt very mislead about the store and it takes away from the theme of shopping small. The good thing is I don't need the store to be able still buy what my in laws said they wanted for Christmas so I still get to shop...

Very disappointing first visit. I visited the location on Friday 11/10 after seeing Facebook post’s advertising the business and had high hopes. I had even referred several people here before coming myself. Upon entering there were two staff members at the checkout desk chatting, and neither one of them greeted me or the other person I was with. As someone who has worked customer service for many years that, it is very known that good customer service should be top priority especially as a small business. A simple “hello, welcome in, can I help you find anything? Ect” could have changed my entire review. My first initial impression deterred me from buying anything and will not...

Beautiful boutique and a very sweet owner whom works so hard to create and grow her business. Helping so many other small businesses to have a place to sell their creations who may not be able to afford their own storefront.

I saw another review stating something about purchasing from Shein - that person must not know MANY wholesale companies exist in the world and MANY retailers, including small businesses purchase from different retailers. Just because you saw something familiar does not mean the boutique is buying things from Shein and reselling them.
