Did not have a good experience with Top Shelf for my daughters wedding. One of the bartenders was snappy and rude to me as mother of the bride. As well as our guests. She was abrupt at clearing tables when she should have been behind the bar. She asked some guests over and over for their I.D and then said she could refuse to serve them. Kept asking quests at the end of the night for tips when she had already been clearly compensated. When I called to talk to the manager she basically through it back on me. Wanted more examples of her being rude. Said it wasn’t enough for guests to keep complaining to me. That alone should be enough that I had to hear this all night. I did not have time to tell a paid worker to adjust their attitude. I do not appreciate her condescending attitude towards me on the phone. Maybe their policies need to be changed a little. Like using a stamp on guests that have shown their I.D. Plus a better system to make sure tips where not just pocketed. They could easily lie and say they didn’t get enough tips. Maybe Top Shelf just needs to pay their employees instead of relying on Tips to make up their wages. Plus the left over alcohol should be given to the Bride and Groom...

8/31/19 #MarshallEmpire The top shelf team was amazing and kept the drinks coming all night. Bre was polite and very professional. I do not drink but I wanted our guest to have a great time. Bre provided her suggestions that would fit our budget as well as party favorites to keep the guest happy all night. Everyone complimented the bartenders for their promptness of service and the right amount of alcohol in each sip. The team was so great that they even prepared the kids drinks and serviced them with pop and fruit punch. Our coordination was great as their updated methods to utilize invoice through a secure system helped us pay off our balance although we lived in Houston and our wedding was taking place in KC. We were referred to this team by the staff of VIP Events Place and I’m truly grateful that we picked them. Thank you Bre for your reassurance of making sure enough items were stocked to supply the demands of our guest. Thank you that you talked with us for over an hour as we went back in forth the best liquor for our budget and that our young adult guest would most enjoy. Top Shelf did an amazing job for my wedding at the Rhapsody back in November! They were really great to work with leading up to the wedding. Responsive, professional, human, and very kind and worked with us. The night of the wedding, our bartender was wonderful! We had so many compliments from guests that the bartending service was amazing. I feel bad - I sat down to eat at the reception and I hadn't even thought to get alcohol yet, and some lady I didn't recognized asked if I wanted anything to drink, and I think I just asked for a water. I was slightly confused that some rando was asking what I wanted to drink, but I later realized it was the bartender!! That's on ME for not noticing or introducing myself before that! She was attentive all night and was very quick and efficient. Unfortunately our cake topper had taken a tumble and shattered everywhere, and we ended up putting the parts back on top the cake. She thought it was so funny, took a picture, and made it a point to find me before I left to send me the picture! She was so sweet, funny, and a great person for the crowd we had.
