My very first racing experience was better than most I'd have to say. I feel the need to share. My girlfriend and I came here on a Saturday and were buying the tickets for $35 a piece. Not sure if I'd really appreciate the sport I was a little hesitant. The woman at the booth had told us if we bought the $50 tickets we'd be able to go in the pit, have a spaghetti dinner that same day as well as have breakfast the next day with access to the pit on Sunday as well. Again I was hesitant but decided I wanted to have the full experience of the sport so we paid the $50 per ticket. Saturday was very enjoyable even though we didn't stay for the spaghetti dinner. Sunday morning I was excited to continue with the fun starting with breakfast. When we arrived we were politely waved through the gates. When we went up to the tent for breakfast however we were told that we needed meal cards. I showed my wrist band to which they said that wasn't included with everything else. I had driven quite a ways so I was pretty upset feeling as though I was lied to. As we were walking back out the gate I was talking with my girlfriend about my dissatisfaction with the facility and how I definitely would not be back. An older gentleman was cleaning up nearby and waved us over asking what was wrong obviously having overheard me. I told him the entire story and he said that he was very sorry and wanted to make it right. I being the pig head I am at first rejected his offer but he insisted and this time informing me he was the owner of the track and never wanted anyone to leave his business unsatisfied. I now felt embarrassed a little and reluctantly followed him back to the breakfast tent where he personally gave us plates and showed us where to get the food and coffee. As if that wasn't enough when we were almost finished with eating he came to our table with seconds and served us some more. I never have been one to look for a free meal or spoiled in a way as I felt that day. Red the owner is all I know him by and he made my first experience the best in racing then ever. Thx Red I really doubt you read these things but for anyone who does, know that your going to a fantastic show run by fantastic people, starting all the way...
Read moreWhen bigger events happen they need better organization. One or two pre order lines. At least 2 pit only lines for paying transactions and maybe even a 3rd pits only cash only window to allow faster traffic flow. Having general admissions and pits mixed together caused too much confusion and a lot of frustration with many fans. Lots of complaints in line. The bathroom was locked close to the wait line which should have been open when we are stuck waiting in line for over an hour to get in. 2 lines to take all but online pre order customers is ridiculous. Also prepaid and prepaid online should be allowed to be pick up in the same line and not get sent to general admission line for prepaid tickets. Security at pit gate was very rude and had the need to excessively show her authority when there was no need to. Parking was fine but she threatened us to move or leave when other cars were parked in the very same row and location we were in. I'm glad they had a great turn out with lots of fans with Kyle Busch running in the prostocks class but the set up for getting in at the beginning was not a great experience and took far too long in my opinion with it being 90 degrees outside. Line went through handicap parking which was an issue as well. Hoping this review allows rom for improvement at future large events and allows the track better preparation for the crowd that they get so that people don't skip the race and watch it on...
Read moreStarted going to Lee in the 2020 season. It was something we could do as a family and enjoy ourselves. But due to track favorites getting away with bad sportsmanship, the tracks unwillingness to call a fair race is causing us to decide to not return. Much like many drivers and other attendees as noticed by the lack of fans in the stands and racers on the track. Many bad calls and blind eyes when the "track officials favorites" are involved. Our 8 missing admittance fees may not be noticed by the track, but I have a feeling more will follow. Save your money or go to a...
