At the Berzerkus event, My husband and I, and our wedding guests had an amazing time at this venue. First off, it's easy to get to, a nice peaceful drive. So many options for lodging within a reasonable distance. From the moment we stepped into the venue, we knew we had made the right choice for our special day. All the staff was kind, professional, and courteous. We were treated very well and they were super helpful with any questions we had. The entertainment was top notch. A lot of fun was had by all. But more than that, it was something rather magical. Both the patrons and the entertainment were like one big family at a party, or like a block party! So many kind and cool people came up to us and gave us heartfelt congrats , and took our pics. Bathrooms were clean and plentiful. My guests loved the food trucks and my husband and I enjoyed our time at the VIP dinner by the lake. We met some great people including our Minister, Emily Strigl, and her husband Mark who we listen to on Sirius FM radio(Ozzy's boneyard and liquid metal), Bridget(pretty sure that was her name)from the Deceased Vintage stand who ran up and gave me a necklace which I'll treasure for always! We chatted with the band Kutthroat, a cool up and coming band with heart, who gave out free tshirts. We took pics with the lead singer of Crazy Train who I have to say isn't an Ozzy impersonator, he's more like an Ozzy conjurer, very very talented and kind to boot!! We got to meet Zakk Wylde who was very patient with my rambling thank you, lol, and his band and him gave great bro hugs to my new husband and I. I couldn't believe how cool The Iron Maidens were, loved when they waved the American flag!! Black Label Society's show was freaking awesome, we danced the night away, thank God I changed into a lighter dress!! And last but not least, thank you to Chris the owner for the safe and kindly return of my junky but much loved cell phone which was lost when my bag tumbled down a hill!! I highly recommend this venue if you want a family friendly, but really great time, and if they throw more weddings here, by all means, with the power vested in me as half of the first couple to get married here, have your...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have been to over 200 concerts in my life and Poconos Park is easily the worst venue I have ever been to. On 7/20/2024, my wife and I went here for the Totally Tubular Festival. Gates open at 4 for a show that started at 5 and it took a half hour to get in. They only had two people scan you for security and two people scan tickets. No special access for handicap or VIp like their website stated. All one line. The concert itself was great. Bands that played were Wang Chung, Men Without Hats, Thomas Dolby, Tommy Tu Tone, Thomas Bailey of the Thompson Twins, Bow Wow Wow, The Plimsouls, & Modern English. The sound was great and there was not a bad seat in the house. The problem, how the venue is managed. The way they made you go in for the 200 section that I was in was with the Lawn patrons. When you entered, no signs to tell you the section numbers. They were in the front where they did not alllow you to enter. On their website they promised several food trucks, there was only one and they only had one food service themselves. That was handled with only one worker. There were no prices on their menu, if you wanted a drink you had to go to a different area, and the lines were over an hour long. That area ran out of food at 7 and the festival started at 5. I have never been to a concert were they ran out of food. After running out of food they were running out of drinks. The ice was gone by 5:30 and the food truck hand to handle everyone. This was an issue because this venue's Wifi was spotty where you got no reception and they only let you on their WIfi for 10 minutes so you can bring up your ticket. This was an even bigger issue since they were cashless. The Taco truck had issues with running cards so they were writing numbers down to run later! Upon leaving, they had really no lights. You are in the woods and people needed to use their cell phone flashlights to see the path. My porch light is ten times stronger then theirs. At this point, I half expected Jason from Friday the 13th to appear and finsih us off. This was basically Fyre Festival Light in the Pocons. Avoid. Go elsewhere if they are having the same concert....
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe came from Philly to see the Totally Tubular festival tonight. Arena is lovely, show was awesome.
The management of the facility however and how things operated tonight was beyond disgraceful. We arrived at 415, parking lots opened at 4, and the show started at 5. We didn't make it through security and scanning of our tickets until 451. At that time, the line still to get in was the entire length of the field. The bands were prompt and started playing at 5:01 exacrlt to a less than half full arena because everyone was still waiting online.
The concession stand had ONE open window out of 5 with one single person working the line (ONE SINGLE PERSON). There was no menu or prices listed. Food included ONLY hotdogs and chicken fingers and fries. Pepsi, Diet Pepsi and water. I purchased three waters and the one person holding down the one open window had to run in the back, bring out a new sealed case of water, open it and handed me one warm. I waited 50 minutes for the food and drinks amd missed the first two acts of the show. This was meant to be a long shown with 7 bands performing.
At 6:45, about 90 minutes into a 5 hour show, the concession stand ran out of food completely.
The food trucks, there were supposed to be many, consisted of 1 single taco truck, which meant they were the ONLY source of food for an entire 5 hour festival. And their payment system was not working and they were hand writing credit card numbers down. The line was over and hour long and counting.
The entire thing was a complete embarrassment.
If the new management of this arena is trying to help revitalize this community, failure was an understatement tonight. If I was the production company booking this place, never ever again. You owe the performers and your attendees not only a deep apology, but some type of refund. Especially for those of us that traveled great distances (at least 5 ppl I spoke to on the long lines and almost my entire section. We all agreed we'd never come back). What a way to let down your community and a serious shame of what otherwise was such a...
