I came home yesterday to a notice on my door. I almost ignored it as a sales tactic, but thank goodness I decided to call and find out about it. Turns out that this company visited my house yesterday, came on to my property and into my side yard, put a lock on my tank, and unplugged it. When I called, they tried to tell me it was a leased tank (which I knew it was not, as I had called around several years ago to get the tank refilled, and another company had records that it was owned by me). When I insisted that it is not leased, they, after doing some digging, told me that they will send a technician out to remove the lock and plug the tank back up. They were following up on old accounts and were showing that they had not delivered to that tank since 2005. 2005?!?!? 13 years, and you decide to suddenly come out and unplug my tank because I'm not home (I was at work) and you try no other method to contact me before you unplug it? They couldn't even find the previous homeowner's contact information (the name the DE rep had was actually 2 homeowners ago). What if this had been winter when they disconnected it? They would have left me without hear because they decided to look into old accounts from 13 years ago??? The sad part is, I'm actually shopping around for a new propane provider right now, but after this, it will definitely not be...
Read moreWhen I received notice regarding Sharp taking over JT Lee's customers I was somewhat skeptical as I had never heard of Sharp Energy. I went to the location out on 421 around the 28th of Feb and spoke with the District Mgr, Geofrey Jenista, and he was quite the salesperson. I admitted I was skeptical about dealing with large corporations and JT Lee was always so trustworthy and accommodating. I felt staying with a local company was better in my interest so Mr. Jenista asked me to give them a chance to prove themselves as well as take advantage of a price discount for deliveries made prior to Mar 31. So I agreed as long as the delivery could be scheduled for Mar 29. He ASSURED me, GUARANTEED me that could be done. He asked one of the office personal to set up the schedule while I was standing there as proof of his word. The following week on Mar 7th I came home and found a bill in my door for gas delivery. I called the Sharp office, spoke with Mr. Jenista and his response was that my address was on the driver's route that day. I reminded him of his PROMISE, his WORD and he agreed he remembered and that he did give his word. No remorse, no I'm sorry, no excuse whatsoever. My gut was correct. My business will stay local. Honesty is the best customer service a business can offer and surely not a quality of this...
Read moreSharp Energy really, really screwed me and my family over big time in Wilmington, NC. They bought JT Lee and Sons a year or so ago, a company we have been with for over 10 years (and spent thousands and thousands of dollars with), and the family who owned our house before us had been with for over 40 years. Bring on corporate Sharp Energy......we owed less than $250 on our bill, which we were paying on every few weeks anyways, but that wasn't good enough for them, they turn us into collections and threaten to put a lock on our gas tank until they were paid in full. What a slap in the face and embarrassing for Sharp Energy. We paid our bill and canceled our account and I would highly advise anyone looking for gas, propane to NOT USE SHARP ENERGY.....EVER!!! The worst part is they could've cared less about losing a customer. Sad!!!
THIS IS IN RESPONSE TO YOUR AUTOMATED RESPONSE YOU SENT BACK TO MY REVIEW...... Are you guys okay? Did you even read the review I wrote about your company? For a company that calls itself Sharp, you're...
