Everglades International Mart — Local services in Lely

First few visits to their cafe were good. No issues… delish pastries and cafe con leche. However, our last trip may be our last. We waited in the cafe for about 20 minutes for service. Once the mini line went down, we were next and completely ignored. The young lady working that area walked away elsewhere to serve other folks. Mind you, there were 3-4 other people already serving that line. So, after our long wait, we left empty handed. Seems you need to either speak Spanish or appear Hispanic to get better service there. Excellent food store with a broad array of foods and an outstanding butcher. Wine and beer are available. Plenty of parking. Polte working staff. Excellent selection of hot Cuban and Caribbean cuisine served hot with generous portions..Take home only. No tables available. This Supermercado is designed for good flow of movement within and easy checkout. Check it out and you wont be disappointed. Their prices are fair...especially in the meat and fresh vegetable & butcher department. Workers don’t really know where anything is at. Paid for all my items and when I got to my car a worker came outside and asked if I paid for my groceries and asked for my receipt. Very unprofessional after I was at the register and everything was bagged and paid for.
