Loud siren coming from lock. We live in area and wondered if this is a warning siren. I called the Lock and a man answered and gruffly wanted to know whom he was speaking to. I told him my name and that I was a newish local resident. He told me the siren sounds as the lock is filled and/or emptied. He admitted it does sound like a tornado warning but it only pertains to the lock operations. Cool to get an update on the sound and the...

It was a great place to fish from the boat. Watched an amazing process as a barge came through and watched a yacht lead the way. Caught a couple fish, and the perfect amount of memories in the 2 short hours I spent watching the area. Plenty to see from the concrete step area and the water. A great place to take...
