The Real Food Studio — Local services in Leonardtown

Let’s be REAL… A greeting sets the tone. Three of us entered The Real Food Studio on Friday, May 16th afternoon around 4pm and was met with coldness. There were ZERO customers in the market, completely EMPTY of other patrons. Two employees were behind the counter engaged in a conversation (a younger female and older woman). They both saw us come in and continued their conversation. The older women made a low hand gesture, turned towards us and then went in the back. We didn’t get a simple hello, a quick hi, a smile, a nod, any words or gesture to utter any variation of welcome.

We split up and for minutes walked around the market to see their options and STILL The Real Food Studio employees said anything to any of us - completely ignoring us. The employees conversation that we witnessed made us believe that the they were not hearing, speech or visual impaired.

Although all three of us really wanted to purchase what appeared to be refreshing juices, we ultimately left.

Is greeting no longer a standard practice when customers enter an empty small establishment? Or perhaps it depends a select sociological...

This place is soo cute!!! For anyone that needs or likes to eat gluten & dairy free, COME EAT HERE! First, again so cute inside. Second, the staff were SO NICE and welcoming. They felt like they were behind on making everyone's food and offered the room free slices of cake.

My friend and I tried the blackened salmon tacos and it was really flavorful! (Next time I will ask for no onions though because I do not like big pieces of onion). OMG AND THE COOKIES ARE THE BEST! I have NEVER been able to cook with almond flour; it always falls apart. I have no idea what their secret is but the cookies are fluffy and soft, but don't fall apart and taste great!
