We visited the oyster festival for the first time and had a great Saturday at the festival. We bought tickets ahead of time which were scanned at the entrance. Parking was in the field outside the fairgrounds. When leaving the parking area it was pretty disorganized and we got trapped trying to get out with very little direction about where to exit.

Lots of great ways to sample oysters, and we joined the tasting tent, cook-off, and oyster shucking competition.

This was a very well organized event and there were so many things to do and vendors to try. This event would be great to bring your family to, join with a group of friends, or bring your fur friends to! Great food options, music, beer, and local artists. We can't wait to go...

I have written about this in the past. This festival is a little bit of Americana you simply won't find elsewhere. And they work hard to make it bigger and better every year. This year was no exception. I had oysters half a dozen ways and barely scratched the choices available. And you can't beat the fun and spectacle of the shucking contests! We will certainly look forward...

This is a great event for oyster lovers and anyone who enjoys eating fresh seafood. There's crab, rockfish, and so many other good things to taste here. You can try oysters prepared so many ways that I can't list them all. Very local and laid back venue. Craft vendors, educational displays, entertainment, and beer too! Really nice way to enjoy an autumn day in...

It has grown since we went 18 years ago. I don't eat oysters, but my husband and son do. They loved them. I had bacon on a stick, MD vegetable crab soup, and pulled pork with bacon. It was good. We also watching the oyster shucking contest. The men and women worked fast.
