Sent several pictures of a part I needed along with the type of tractor I had. I asked for help in locating the correct part. I was told that I would need to get the manufacturer part number from my local dealer. I asked if they had a list of part numbers that might work for my model tractor and was again told they needed the manufacturer part number.
I'm not sure why a local dealer would be able to get that information, but a parts dealer can't. If I called an auto parts store, I can just give a description of the vehicle and the part I need and they would be able to get the part for me. They wouldn't ask me to go to the dealership for the manufacturer part number.
Their website says "Can't track down a part that you need? Our expertly trained customer service staff is here to track down that replacement part for you." Yet they can't find a common part for a common tractor with pictures of the part needed. This place is a joke.
I contacted Cross Creek Tractor with the exact same email and they were able to get me a part number without any additional questions. The price was the same, but I had to pay an extra $20 for shipping. However, Cross Creek's part is made in America.
Edit to respond to owner's response: Not only were there pictures, but I provided the year, make, and model. Your website says "Have a question... One of our many knowledgeable team members will be glad to assist you." Your website also says you're a member of the National Tractor Parts Dealer Association.
Cross Creek Tractor is also a distributor, but they can actually help you find a part without the exact model number. If you don't know much about them as you state, I would suggest looking into their business model as they're...
Read moreI had some good experiences in dealing with this company. Then I had one issue. How it was dealt with is what I'm writing about today. A couple of years ago I purchased a new seat assembly for my Ford 4000 tractor. I was so happy to finally replace the old rotted seat. A seat that lasted 30 years. I keep the tractor under cover normally but once in a while it sits outside because of large attachments and ongoing work. In these cases I cover the seat assembly to protect it from rain or condensation. I baby it. I got two seasons out of it. It spent a few days out in the sun while performing it's duties and it disintegrated. I have a $30 seat on an old 8n that has sat out uncovered far too often because of limited space in the shed. That seat is still in near perfect condition after at least seven years. If you purchase one of these seats make sure you never expose it to sunlight. I wrote Reliable and told them I understood that the seat was beyond warranty. I asked if there was anything they could do to help me with it. I was hoping for understanding and maybe a good deal on a new seat or seat cover, noting that the assembly was still in very good condition. You can see the paint still shines. The rep said it was beyond warranty and thanks for your understanding. I didn't understand and told her so. I said I would tell others about my experience. I was then contacted by her superior who told me that my request for assistance was "ludicrous" because I offered no documentation or photos. I wrote a very thoughtful reply including photos and then a follow up when she didn't respond. I've never gotten any response....

24th Apparently you have no control of a reasonable shipping time of items you sell so cancel and refund my money i will be purchasing it elsewhere. Every single other thing for the customer arrived already and you have not even shipped the item. What kind of flim flam are you running? If there is a reasonable explanation, without canceling you can provide it, and I will stil laccept the item from you but thus far it is completely unreasonable.
24th We ship in the time frame given on every ebay listing. This time frame is there prior to ordering as well as after the order is placed. Ebay gives us a ship by date and time frame to ship to meet this deadline. This order would have shipped on time and arrived within this time frame.
