Wild West Jerky — Local services in Levan

For starters his beef jerky and smoked salmon are great. Unfortunately that’s the only reason he is receiving a one star. If it wasn’t for that I would leave zero stars if I could. I dropped my deer off there on October 19th to be processed. He told me I should receive a call in approximately 10 days to come pick it up. It’s now been over 60 days and he does not pick up my calls or respond what so ever. Since then I have moved north and I'm not sure if I can even pick up my meat if I ever receive a call back. I understand he may get busy during rifle season with everyone bringing their animals to him and I’m understanding of that. I’ve worked in customer service for four years so I am more than reasonable with being accepting of this delay. It’s the fact that he cannot answer his phone to give me an update now that he is two months past when he said it was going to be done. If your looking for some great jerky he’s your guy, but please if your wanting your meat back anytime soon take your animal...

Wish I could comment on the quality of the meat but sadly 4 months later and I've yet to get the deer back I took in on 9/24/20. At the time of placing the order I was 20-30 days. Have called/text and stopped by numerous times with no reply or the store being closed. Finally had a note on the door a month ago saying they'd closed until all the game processing had been caught up and they'd notify all customers when their animal was ready. Still waiting. All I can say is if you want your animal back quickly or at all...go somewhere else. Sad part is my brother in law never got 2 deer back years ago so I guess the business model hasn't changed. Take the customers order and then hope they forget or lose hope and then turn that animal into jerky. 100% profit...not bad. All I want is the deer meat I packed out. Is that asking too much? Wish I would've gone...

We took our deer here to be processed, paid for it and were told 20-30 days to get our jerky back. It took two months and a fight to get what we paid for back. That being said, the jerky is super yummy. The owner is a very nice man and I think he means well, but I do think he needs to be upfront on timelines, cause it looks a bit sketchy being told a timeline, then being told 3 different times to come pickup your jerky, then show up and it not be ready yet. I think it would help a ton if he told his customers it could take up to 4 months, or however much time he needs to process their meat. I greatly appreciate them, but I wish it hadn't been such a fight and frustrating process to get what we paid for. Go here to buy jerky or their smoked salmon, it's super delicious!
