Lewiston Theatre — Local services in Lewiston

This theatre is unique. It's a $2 theatre, meaning that large families can afford to bring their dozen kids to watch Minions or whatever is on the screen. I lived two doors down from the theatre for 6 years during grade school and went there dozens of times. The movies are great quality, theatre itself decent, but a 5 star theatre doesn't include half of the audience being under 8 years old and screaming and theowing popcorn for the duration of the movie. Okay, maybe it's not THAT bad, but do realize that it gets loud in there, even for PG-13 movies. Good theatre for second or third viewings of movies or for kids movies.

If you haven't been to the theatre in the last 10-15 years (like I had) be prepared for a major overhaul for the better. The seating is much more comfortable and in general feels much less... dirty. Video and audio and good and the ticket prices can't be beat.

Nice place to come and watch a cheap film for a date or as a family. You'll want to consult the schedule online. There place has been restored and a visit gives you a glimpse into the past. The popcorn and other snacks are extremely cheap too. You'll be glad you came. All that aside, if you were coming purely for the movie viewing experience instead of the awesome atmosphere and inexpensive price the experience is undergoing to a new theater.
