The Perfect Light — Local services in Lewisville

Last Christmas I had The Perfect Light install Christmas lights around my home. They were done a bit incorrectly (some items in their favor and some in mine) but looked good. I let them know and asked if we could get it fixed, but it never was acknowledged or fixed. So, this year after getting the installation quote emailed, I called to make sure the price was correct. I said last year I believe it was done differently then the plan but wanted the same thing done this year as I really liked what was installed last year. The Perfect Light rep said they would check but the price would be the same and it would not be a problem. I asked a second time, if they wanted to check first and come back with an updated price because I didn’t want to have a higher price quoted later. I was told a second time, that the price provided would be for the same installation done last year and they would take a down payment today and the second half later. I provided my credit card information and thought the transaction was completed. Later, I got a call from a different representative and was told the first rep was new and didn’t know how to handle the situation. They reviewed last year and were calling back to say the price this year would be higher than I was quoted if I wanted the same thing. It was 30% higher. I have no issue paying the true price but don’t expect a quote to change after it was agreed to and a deposit was made. The Perfect Light could not get my quote correct even after I pointed it out and they agreed to it. I would be cautious about using a company that does not stand behind the quotes they provided especially after the customer questions to make sure...

We have been incredibly impressed with "The Perfect Light" as a company, and with the two aspects of the business we have dealt with, the landscape lighting and Christmas lighting. It's great that they store your lights, you can pick whether to "go big," or chose what to pare down if a year is tougher. We had to skip last year, for several reasons, so for a small fee, the lights and lighted wreaths were stored until this year. They give you prices for each part of the project, and they try to get out as quickly as possible if there is a problem. We had landscape wires cut by mowers edging, more than once. We originally received their information from a former employee who took a different career path, but attested to: the integrity of the management; the desire to give the best "product" for the price; their attention to customer service, and their desire as a company to do all to the glory of God as their ultimate boss. This is our third year with them. We have had SO many compliments on our Christmas lighting, along with our path lights. People are amazed at the quality and elegance of the lighting, the quality teamwork (they are a well oiled lighting orchestra), and it does not look like we randomly threw some lights on the house and path to our door. The Perfect Light makes a home shine, but in a way that is different from the rest. Every member of their team has been professional, respectful, and efficient in getting things scheduled and brought to fruition. There is absolutely no way we could do any of this ourselves. We were interested in installing some landscape lighting in our back yard. We had a vacation trip coming up in a couple of weeks and were really interested in making a decision before we left. Cody, from the Perfect Light, was very responsive and quickly arranged a night time demo of the lights in our back yard. He laid out all the options for us and made some excellent suggestions as to the location of the lights and even the position of the moon lights high in the trees. Time was too short to be able to get the installation done before we left for vacation, but as part of their excellent customer service we worked out a deal that allowed them to perform the install while we were away. We came back to a beautifully lit back yard set with a timer that did not require a single change.
