DO NOT COME HERE OWNER OPS OR DRIVERS!!!!! Got this load from TQL from a broker named Jackson Byrd this load was a 2 pick Kansas City and Liberal Kansas going to Tracy California. Originally was supposed to be a Thursday pick up but the product was not ready LOL. We take the chance grab the first pick then rush over to the second as instructed to drive straight through for a dropped trailer 24-7. So I get here 11pm Friday night drop trailer. The guard shack people told me since it’s not a full truck load it’ll be around 4-6 hours. I drive to Wendy’s park call it a night. After 12 hours I keep calling TQL and nobody has an answer for me. 18 hours later I tell the broker night team that i am going to grab my trailer loaded or unloaded no matter what I was willing to take a loss on the load. He begins to tell me they will only take a couple more hours but I already reached the shipper to retrieve my trailer. The overnight tql team said the broker could put a claim on me and also that the broker himself will be calling me this is Saturday night I said go ahead. Get to the guard shack ask them what’s going on and to release me trailer. They said either 3 hours for them to unload the product or 3 hours until they finish loading. Me being a idiot waits another 3 hours nothing happens. 7 hours later tql team calls hi did you get loaded I laughed. We told them they have 15 mins to get the trailer back to us. They call again saying nobody is going to release your trailer until it’s loaded. So I am being held here without any detention they don’t pay detention on meat loads. Now it’s been 30+ hours the warehouse is pathetic the brokers are pathetic DONT COME HERE MY GUYS YOULL BE TREATED LIKE ABSOLUTE GARBAGE. Read all the previous comments for years ago which I should have done this problem hasn’t been fixed. Don’t call for trucks if your product is not ready. Being held here losing so much money having to reschedule the drop off in California your not getting refunded for the day extra of reefer fuel. This just doesn’t make sense these brokers or shippers don’t care for drivers but without drivers these guys wouldn’t be able to be successful. Also if you come here and there’s a train blocking you for couple hours just drive up make the right at Wendy’s instead of waiting gps won’t tell ya. 0 stars drivers please don’t waste time here...
Read moreI arrived with my husband for a load. We entered the lot for the loaded trailers due to the changes. Tristan checked us in then instructed us to drop our empty in another location. Upon returning to the loaded yard we went to get the loaded trailer. There is 4 people in this trailer and NOT ONE said to stop when we came back. I go check in at the window and truck exit per Miguel's instructions. While standing there, Tristan who acts as if he is in charge allowed another driver to pull up behind me, inches from my back and truck running. I asked if they could ask the driver to cut off his truck for my safety and Tristan said, "NO. You should have come here first." I said, "you should have said that was necessary when we came in the first time." I could hardly hear Tristan and Miguel so I asked again please ask the driver to shut off his truck again they refused. Neither of these mentioned any concern for my safety and showed just how nasty they are when NOW they needed my husband's DL saying it was because he was driving!!! When they took my DL he was driving so what's the difference now? When the Hispanic driver came to the window Tristan was amazingly polite to him. This behavior is absolutely ridiculous and to have them putting drivers at risk because they have racial issues needs to be addressed. National Beef is setting themselves up for a lawsuit by these gentlemen who are not taking safety precautions on that yard. The parking lot has HUGE holes full of water and on the way out...
Read moreThe only positive is evening shift security. They are very friendly and helpful. Besides that, 24 hour load windows for a drop and hook that delivers the next day is absurd. “Load could be ready anytime from midnight to midnight on this day”. Here I am, 22:00, no load ready. At least Tyson has the courtesy to give a DDT that they meet or beat 98% of the time. Overnighters are part of the reefer life and I don’t mind them when I know it’s coming when at Tyson. Thinking that someone should be making check calls for 16 hours and then should be up and ready to run 600 miles to meet a deadline is absurd.
Zero winners from this terrible system. Zero accountability with a 24 hour window in production and shipping, which is just slowing the process overall. Guard shack has to deal with frustration of drivers even when it’s not their fault. Drivers are forced to “sleep” all day before running overnight after burning a day of no pay in the boonies of southwest Kansas. Trucking companies are losing when a load they planned thinking it would be a simple day shift run turns into an overnighter, which burns up the next day when you have to take your 10 after delivery.
If you’re a true live load, my condolences. Oklahoma City, Dallas, and Kansas City might be genuinely worth your deadhead if you value...
