Harringtons is by far one of the worst outdoor power equipment companies around. I purchased a brand new zero-turn mower from them last spring. Eleven and a half months later, I started up my mower for the first time after the winter season and discovered that my battery was completely dead. I called Harringtons and asked them if my battery had a warranty. They said it did, but they refused to replace it because they needed to see if they could charge it first. Rather than arguing with them about getting it replaced, I went ahead and unhooked it from my mower and brought it in for overnight charging. After the charging was complete, I went back to Harringtons to pick up my battery. The lady behind the front counter told me that there would be a fee for charging my battery overnight. I told her that my battery came with a one-year warranty, so there should be no fee of any kind. She then said that only if I would have gotten a replacement would there be no fee. I then told her that I was informed over the phone that the owner would not replace my battery because she needed to try the method of charging it first. After going back and forth with her for a few moments, trying to reason with someone who undoubtedly cares more about money than customer satisfaction, I grabbed my battery and walked out...
