DO NOT BUY YOUR VEHICLE HERE! In fact don't buy a Ford ever! November 19, 2022 I stopped to browse for vehicles. The subaru I had ran fine, but I had a 3-month old and we thought we should try to find something more reliable and spacious for our 2 kids. As you can imagine I was sleep deprived due to the new baby! So, although we had no intention of buying anything, we did just that. It was a 2020 Ford escape. While doing the paper work it came out, 'Andy (The salesman) witnessed the multi-point inspection himself'.. it was reassuring. Thinking back, he brought some cars up to test drive, and they weren't the ones we discussed being interested in! (I see why, now). They want to persuade you into taking the junk! Less liability. The sale went through. Baby brain must have taken over, because they said I could only get approved with Five star Bank at 8.34% interest; my credit score was 740! The seller takes me out to set up my radio with Ford pass. At one point,Andy looks past me to the inspection sticker (his face said, 'OH NO'). He said, "This car isn't inspected"! (Yes, I test drove the vehicle with no inspection!) After speaking with service, he told me they were leaving for the day. I'm any easy going person, so I understood, and we agreed to pick it up when finished. During those 2 days something said, 'cancel the sale'. Reluctantly, I didnt and I have been stressed and inconvenienced since! While picking up the car, the Andy explaind how fortunate, I should feel to have new brakes, rotars, and tires! Being skeptical, I told him, I would have my brother a state Trooper and mechanic look it over. He said, OH, yeah it needs shocks too. They need to be orde Two weeks go by, I call about the shocks. There back-ordered. I called multiple times over the next few months, because my shocks were showing they needed replacing. Mid-January '23 I call and tell them, I will contact the VEhicle Fraud investigator if they don't fix my shocks. They were fixed within days! Around this time my Ford Pass starts alerting to a transmission problem. I scedule an appointment to be told, ' Those alerts are a fault with the sensor. Scedule an appointment, we can erase them, but it's $100 out of pocket.' I took his word and allowed the alerts to go-on, because I didn't have $100. Needless-to- say My transmission was going and one year to the date of purchase, the car was in Tunkhannock Ford (who finally diagnosed it) for about 2 months! The crap warrenty Simmons Sold covered some and I was out $1600! Shortly after I had to go back, because another part had to be replaced due to fumes getting trapped. Everything was OK up until April/May 2024. My doors were noisy since the purchase, so I just thought they were junk like the rest of the car. No!... I opened my door and it fell off the hinge! At one point it opened while I drove across a parking lot!! I called Ford and they were just releasing a re-call. Eventually both doors were re-placed, but the passenger door doesn't open from the inside! The dealership said," They can't help, because the job was contracted to an outside garage (A RECALL). To wrap it up, everything on the car continues to go, including the shocks they said they put on. DONT BUY FORD and don't go To SIMMONS ROCKWELL! NONE OF THERE CARS ARE CERTIFIED BECAUSE...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI got into contact with the dealership to try and find the locations of the vehicles I was interested in. The sales rep said that if we scheduled an appointment, he can have the vehicles moved to the same location. I scheduled an appointment for a week later on a Saturday. I called the dealership to see the progress of the cars on the Thursday before and was assured that the cars were being transported that day. I mentioned to the sales rep that if he has free time on Friday, I can come look at the vehicle then also. The sales rep said he would give me a call if that was doable. I never received a call so I assumed he was busy for the day. I showed up for my appointment on Saturday at my scheduled time. The sales rep was with another person and after a few minutes, said he would be bouncing back and forth between us. He then said he will have the vehicle brought around the front. Long story short, the vehicle was the same model but not the one I was really interested in. I was then informed that they were unable to transport any vehicles and that one was on their lot already. What's the point of scheduling an appointment to see a vehicle that I'm interested in for it not to be there? I drove 2 and a half hours and pulled a down payment from the bank to purchase a vehicle that wasn't there. A waste of my time, gas, and money. I understand things happen, but a simple phone call before my appointment stating they were unable to get the vehicle would have avoided this review. Just a side note, I would have been perfectly fine driving to the location of the vehicle I wanted. However, they were unable to locate the vehicle multiple times on my previous calls so that's why I scheduled an appointment and it would be "transported" to this location. After extensive calling around to different locations, the vehicle I had money in hand to buy was at a DIFFERENT location being looked at by another person at the same time as my scheduled appointment at Hallstead and it sold...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreTerrible, terrible experience at Simmons Rockwell. First, I sent an email request to test drive a black 2017 Ford Escape. I got a response to my email days later with no additional information, just a request to call the dealership. If you're working during their business hours and you thought that an email request would be a good way to get in contact, you'd be wrong. I called and made the appointment and was ensured that the black 2017 Ford escape was on their lot. We arrived and waited for about 10 minutes. Two nice people asked if we were being helped and called over intercom for the person that we were working with, Pat. He came out about 10 minutes late and we sat down. Prior to a test drive, you have to sign a privacy disclaimer. I was told "This just says that we won't sell your information" when it literally said that information would be used by them and their partners (other companies) for marketing. This is 100% selling your information. Then, he had us look around the lot at the vehicles and said he would meet us back in 10 minutes. No mention of the car that we scheduled a test drive for. We were unable to find the car and went back inside to find that he was working with another customer. Seems like we were double booked. Eventually he comes over, and when asked about the 2017 Ford Escape, we learned that it wasn't on the lot. The car that I made an appointment to test drive WAS NOT THERE. Seriously??? We drove half an hour to test drive this car and it was moved to another location! I have never had an experience this bad at any other dealership and I would recommend that others...
