I go to Amite County Co-Op as my last resort. WHY? They are high! Most co-ops have low and reasonable prices but not this one.
My lastest trip was for oyster shells crushed for our pellet heater. All they had was a small 5 lb. Bag for $7.95. This retail bag sells for $4.95 at Walmart. I can get crushed oyster shell at the Pike County Co-Op by the lb much cheaper. I can also get product at Tractor Supply. In fact, i can get 50 # at TS for same price as Amite County Co-Op. So why would anyone just want to waste their hard earned money here?
