Capitol Federal Sports Complex of Liberty — Local services in Liberty

I would like to know why this place says it’s open until 10:00pm but this is the 3rd time I’ve come with my children to enjoy their summer off at the kids pond and each time we have got told to leave because of them closing the gate 2 hours before the closing time. The boys who told us said they were closing the gate due to the baseball games being over but why is there ponds here to fish if it’s going to be based off the games alone. This is very disappointing it hasn’t even got dark. I would also like to add that other lakes that have the option to fish in it close at 12 not 8. I hope we get something else in liberty that offer lakes with fishing that does not limit hours or a closed fence because baseball games are over. Although up the street you could fish at the river off of 291 and their fence does not...

Ii really like the park, but there is issues with signage. Imagine going to a relatives baseball game to cheer and spending a whole lot of walking time finding the field they are playing on, and the picture is of a single complex, but there are 2 separated complexes. Without proper labeling or signs, you will really struggle to find the field. Whats worse is sometimes they charge to get into the complex but not until you have lugged everything towards the middle to attempt to find the field. This USED to be my fav fishing spot. Went 5 days/wk BUT about aonth or so ago I went and someone cut all the trees that brought shade around the ponds down and then to top it off, threw all the cut branches and bushes into all the ponds ..therefore all the banks had cut limbs everywhere... I went through 5 hooks in one hour and didn't catch anything but a bad attitude! Please explain why the limbs got out into the water along the entire complex?? It's gonna be a headache from now on out to fish in my fav spots so I quit going and now venture OUT of Liberty to fish and spend my time else where,! Sooo Soo...
