The BEST jerky around. From Illinois, on a solo road trip, I stumbled across this place on my way southeast to a state park. On the way back I decided to stop on a whim. I've only had occasional luck finding good jerky. Some in Utah, some in Arizona, but local road stands and I never kept track of who they were to order more. This time I have a solid resource for my "fix". I've ordered several times since then and I've not been unhappy in their product; it's consistent!
Gas station jerky, especially "big name brands" I won't mention, is oily, thin, and sort of gross. Pat's is thick, not oily, spicy if you choose and addictive! (is that a good thing?).
Come to think of it, I'm out and need to order more!

Read moreI used to live in western Kansas and every time we went to Hays, we would stop at Pat's. I have been getting their beef jerky since I was a little girl (about 6 or 7 I'd say) I'm 35 now, and I can honestly say it's still the best beef jerky I've ever had. It's quality has never changed, the flavor had remained the same since I was little .You will never be disappointed when you order from Pats .They may seem a little pricey, but I'm telling you it is more than worth it . My fiance doesn't like beef jerky or ever eat it, but when I had him try this after talking about it for years, he was more than imposed. He actually had his own addiction to pats...
Read moreI have enjoyed this jerky since a child on hunting trips with my Dad and Uncles. Shared the greatness with my son and passed down the tradition. I have never driven through Kansas and not stopped for a bag of jerky. Sad to see the retirement, but hope to see an awesome buyer so I can take my grandson and share the stories of the great plains, Pat's jerky and those hunting trips. Hats off to this...
