Unfortunately, I am changing my 5 star to a 1 star after quite a negative experience when an issue occurred. Purchased a new CS2210 from Anthony Miller. Sales part of the transaction went great. Traded an older machine, paid rest cash. Had a few initial issues that were quickly remedied by the dealer. All seemed well. At 10.4 hours, tractor abruptly stalled while mowing at rated rpm. Attempted to restart, but would not fire. Initial engine crank was uneven and sounded bad. I initially checked fuel flow and filter, all good. I suspected an issue with the injector pump or internal engine failure. Towed to dealer and was aided by service tech Aaron. He was very helpful and professional, and said it needed a new injector pump assembly. At this point, I have already googled and checked the forums and can see that this is something that some other owners have had to deal with on this series of engines. ( I do understand that generally people only post online to tell their negative experiences, so I take them for what they are worth.) This is where things started to go south and very quickly. I don't want to have this issue again and don't want to have to tote this tractor around so I start to explore my options. I inquire about a trade in and was shocked at the terrible offer by the Owner. I was told that I would be called back about my options and to see if they could do better. No return calls. Called and left several messages without return calls. Finally was able to get ahold of the salesman who sold us the machine. Basically told me I was SOL unless i want to spend a few thousand more for the same machine... um, no thanks... For now, I decided to wait to hear about my tractor being repaired. About a week goes by, still no return calls. I had to chase them down again only to find out the replacement injection pump has the same problem as the original. Was told a 2nd pump was ordered. At this point I'm really starting to become frustrated. Placed many calls to Hoover sales trying to figure out a solution for me to get a different machine. Out of every 5 calls, could only get someone 1 time and that was lucky... Salesman suggested they should just swap it out with another machine but he would have to talk to the owner, Jerry. Again, no return calls. I did not expect to be called back because I could tell Jerry was just interested in making more money off of me than making this situation right. At this point, I have also been trying to get ahold of someone at Kioti to see if they could help. Left at least a dozen messages and emails. Only once was able to talk to a Brandon who told me my issue was the dealer and then hung up on me. So now I start to cold call any and every Kioti dealer untill one would give me the phone number of a regional manager / rep. Finally was able to get a number and talk to a regional manager. I was told no one at Kioti was going to answer me.... how could a company this size not care about their customers! After all of this, I finally get a call from Jerry. This conversation was useless. No solutions and zero help offered. He told me the first replacement pump had shipping damage. I asked the service team if that was true. They told me there was no shipping damage, just the defective pump. Either Jerry doesn't know, the service guys don't know or someone is lying. All bad... Finally after nearly a month my machine is ready to be picked up. I noticed the antifreeze overflow was much lower when I picked up the tractor and mentioned it to the service tech. My concern was dismissed and I was told that is normal. Fast forward to unloading the machine, and starting to mow with it. Only had about 10 minutes in before it started to rain. Parked the machine. Next day I came out to a puddle of antifreeze and no coolant in the overflow bottle. Seems to be coming out of upper rad hose. Clamp is tight. Called the regional rep again, and after some spirited conversation, he finally admitted there is an issue with these Iinjection pumps and antifreeze loss. These are all facts. Should have bought...
Read moreIf I could split the sales review from the service review, sales would be a 5. Service, not so much!! We had nothing but miscommunication both times we had our Kioti in the shop. First, at the 50 hr maintenance years ago, we told them the left front tire (as you are sitting on the tractor) kept going flat. They replaced the one on the right, threw away the good tube, and returned the tractor to us. This time (just under 250 hours), we had a problem with the drive shaft rubbing a hole in an oil line. They had some trouble with shipping from the vendor (no fault of their own) and just under 3 weeks later we arrive to pick up the tractor and our new engine oil and filter were replaced (told not to do so initially as it was done by us). Also the front tire repeatedly lost air, but I asked them not to service that as we have an inner tube for it. We get it back with a charge for Tire Inflator 12 oz. I ask about it, and .. oh they fixed that too!! Big Miscommunication All Around... Sales has been great. Service just doesn't plain listen to what you ask them to do. We don't recommend them for servicing unless it's already covered...
