We stayed here every year for the past 5 years same spot same time every year for seafood and wine fest .. last year the manager ( we thought ) offered us a new spot that wasn’t going to be completed till August as a sorry as they messed up something with our current reservation. We took it but made it clear we were worried about booking a spot that’s not “ available yet “ and losing our yearly spot … she guerenteed us several time that we we would be placed in the reservation system once the spot is done and contacted for reservation deposit I even took a photo of our reservation written down with her holding it up showing us that’s how worried about it we were .. sure enough august comes around no one contacts us we look at they gave our spot away and we had now lost our original yearly spot which is exactly what we were worried would Happen hence by we confirmed several times with her it was not get messed up and took a picture of it - when we called to say what happened all we got was “it was just a waiting list “ if it was a waiting list we wouldn’t have done it and two if we were on the waiting list and the first ones ( we saw it ) then wouldn’t you have contacted us first to place us in the spot ? So we know they made an error and gave our spot away and can’t fess up to it . After several years of a loyal clients we will take our rv else where and closer to Seafood and wine fest ! Bummer this is how they treat loyal clients ! Make sure you get confirmations and DO NOT TAKE THE WORDS FOR ANYTHING !
Edit/update to review : we were contacted by Alicia the manager she is not sure what happened, but it sounds like the employee that put us on the reservation list no longer works there and offered us a complementary stay for the same reservation dates ( our old original spot ) to make up for the lost reservation after we spoke to her … that was very appreciated and we did accept it … I was happy to hear them make an effort to make it right with us instead of just “ too bad so sad “ as we felt we got when we placed this review …we do love this place hence why we’ve come every year for the last several years . They will make it...
Read moreFirst, I want to be clear that this review is based upon one interaction with a certain team member who treated us without an ounce of respect.
My husband, daughter, and I stopped to visit his mom who was camping with our niece, and followed direction upon pulling in to purchase a parking pass. Upon arriving to the campsite, there was no space to park within the stall, so we parked our car in a normal sized unmarked space in a lot near the bathrooms - next to other vehicles with the same parking pass - and proceeded to the beach for a couple hours. As soon as we got back to the RV, a man in a golf cart screeched to a halt in front of us and demanded “who is driving the grey Audi?” My husband stood up and said “we are” and this man proceeded to point his finger at my husband and raise his voice saying “I called a tow truck, move it now! You were very clearly told you needed a different permit to park there yesterday.” Shocked, we all just stared at him. We have no idea who this man thought we were, but no such conversation occurred (we never parked in that lot the day before), and we assumed a parking pass permitted parking in any available and unmarked spaces within the park. He then sped off while we gathered our things to leave.
The entire interaction was incredibly unprofessional and inappropriate, especially in front of our 10 year old daughter and her cousin, who were alarmed by this mans demeanor and how he spoke to my husband. We did not intentionally do anything wrong and would have been happy to explain and pay for a different parking pass (even though we were leaving). The situation could have been handled very differently and it was a disappointing end to our brief visit...
Read morePositive: easy access to beach ( although walkway smells like sewage), clean, true full hook-ups Negative: High cost low value, Lots of rules and restrictions not available to view before checking in says they are pet friendly, but they are not, charge for visitors even if only there for less than 30 minutes, no space heater, no personal flare, and other random), rude staff, not family friendly (seems to cater to retirees), low grade internet, and entry in and out restrictions on 101.
Sea and Sand just turned out to be an expensive place to sleep. We wouldn’t fit into the space we rented and were only offered the most expensive space and noisiest spaces available. For $90 a night )only $30 less then the closest house through Bella Beach). The first night online I found a middle space for half the price was available for the same length our stay was. The woman who checked us in never offered that space. We told her we only needed a place to park our RV and sleep. The view was not important as we spent our days visiting family at Bella Beach. As for the rules, most are not available online. They wait until you check in and then hand you quite the list of do’s and do not’s. Including wanting to charge extra for my sister driving on the property and waiting 15 minutes for me to finish getting ready. On a positive side, they are clean, and quiet. We will not...
