Ashton General Store — Local services in Lincoln Township

This store is fantastic! For a small country store that has been there for eons; it has only gotten better with age! It was a good store before with a good meat department, but with the new owners; it has gotten even better! Now ... Dan ... the new owner ... has made it better, too! The place is really clean! The produce area that was minimal at best has expanded to offer a much better selection and quantity! Judi, Luann,Tricia, Cindee, Rochelle and Robin always seem to be in a good mood that puts one in a good mood, also! Since Vics in RC has closed, the go to for meat has been the Ashton General Store! Also; since Jeremy ran the GREAT meat department @ Vic's; he is NOW the meat guy in Ashton along with Chris! Nick and young buck Zack help out behind the meat department! Thank you all for having the stamina in keeping this gem open...

We've been ordering cowboy steaks, and they were great until the last 2 times. First, we pre-ordered 4, so we could take them back to Vicksburg where we live. We also had an appointment we had to be back home for, and that's why we pre-ordered, so they would be ready. But they weren't, and we couldn't wait, so we couldn't get them. The next time, we pre-ordered 4, and asked them to cut us some with the large part of the rib cap. They were done when we got there and they gave us a discount for not having them done last time. But when we got them home, we found that they were sub-par and there was hardly any rib cap on them. It looked like they trimmed it all off! I would have rather paid full price for good steaks! High priced foods and everytime I went here I felt like they never wanted my business. Lots of drama with the workers and the store itself is very small. If they don't work on becoming a better store they're gonna end up losing business because they already lost quite a bit. Side note, the owners need to treat their workers a lot better cause its ridiculous the stories I've heard! Miss...
