When we visit a cemetery, it's important to remember that it's a special place where people go to remember their loved ones. We should always be quiet, respectful, and make sure we follow the rules. Most cemeteries have visiting hours, usually when the sun is up, so we need to check the time we can go. It's okay to bring your coffee, but remember to take your cup with you when you leave, so the cemetery stays clean and beautiful for everyone. #CemeteryChronicles #PastriesAndPastLives #GraveyardGourmet #HistoricHaunts #BrewsAndBurials #Tapophilia #Tapophile #CemeteryTok

In Placer County, an ancient, towering tree stands sentinel over an old cemetery, its massive branches stretching skyward, bare of leaves and etched against the horizon. This majestic giant, witness to centuries, casts long shadows over the time-worn gravestones, creating a solemn atmosphere that speaks to the passage of time. Its presence, both imposing and protective, adds a layer of mystique and reverence to the hallowed grounds it overlooks. As the seasons change, the tree remains steadfast, a silent guardian of the stories and memories that lie beneath its watchful gaze. #CemeteryChronicles #PastriesAndPastLives #GraveyardGourmet #HistoricHaunts #BrewsAndBurials #Taphophilia #Taphophiliac #Taphofile #CemeteryTok #TalesFromTheTomb #SconeSeekers #GraveyardWhispers #CoffinsAndCoffees #HistoricGraveHunt #PlacerCounty #California#Halloween

Each gravestone in the cemetery stands as a testament to individuality, much like the distinct flavors of scones that offer their own unique experiences. From the classic richness of blueberry to the zesty twist of lemon poppy seed, and the indulgent swirl of chocolate chip, each scone flavor mirrors the diversity found within these sacred grounds. Just as every headstone carries its own story and character, marked by symbols and inscriptions, each scone flavor brings its own narrative to the table, through bursts of flavor and texture. In this way, the variety of gravestones and the assortment of scone flavors both celebrate the beauty of diversity and the uniqueness of each experience and memory. #CemeteryChronicles #PastriesAndPastLives #GraveyardGourmet #HistoricHaunts #BrewsAndBurials #Taphophilia #Taphophiliac #Taphofile #CemeteryTok #TalesFromTheTomb #SconeSeekers #GraveyardWhispers #CoffinsAndCoffees #HistoricGraveHunt #PlacerCounty #California

At the burial everything was ok. That was in December 2021. I have been out there there several times and apparently nobody is checking the newer burial sites because the squirrels will dig very deep and wide tunnels on the grave. Other family members have said they too have seen this. I was prepared on my latest visit with a shovel and was totally upset when I saw that the damage was severe. I could plainly see the cement vault that enclosure of the casket. It took me some time to repair the damage. I was very upset crying my eyes out mourning my dear lifelong soulmate while filling in holes. I believe the overseer (if there even is one)needs to be periodically checking to ensure the newer graves are settling evenly etc. Another issue is not being able to talk directly to someone about these issues. This cemetery is beautiful and was he chose this site since he was a lifelong resident...

My mother was buried in February 2023. While we were waiting for the headstone to come in we tried to decorate the grave. Without notice they came out and distroyed everything that was placed on her grave . I received everything back broken . They stripped her grave of everything including flowers also leaving a stone on the grave next to her that was for my mother. Very disrespectful. 😞 Not a pleasant...

My maternal grandparents and a few generations back from them are buried here. I've been here several times to pay my respects and remember them. It's a peaceful place and hope that it remains so for generations to come.

If you also visit, please do look out for snakes during warm days. You might also encounter bee swarms on other days.

This very rural and is...
