I made a visit to The Still on this chilly Friday afternoon looking for some wine for a dish I am cooking and some rye whiskey for a drink I am mixing. I am an amateur when it comes to picking out wine and was helped immediately and given a great option. The lady who helped me out asked me good questions and showed me the best value she had there. Thank you! I then proceeded to the whiskey aisle where I have a bit more experience. I was perusing the rye selection when another customer came over and started looking along with me. We started a conversation and he asked me for some recommendations. I showed him what I liked and why and he picked up a few bottles and a few more. We went our separate ways but ended up at the registers checking out at the same time. He had picked out another bottle of scotch that I was interested in and I was curious how it compared to one of my selections. I asked the associate who was ringing him out what he thought. He let me know his thoughts and I commented on how it was out of my budget but sounded interesting. The fellow customer I helped out then decided to give me a bottle of my favorite scotch out of the blue. I was shocked and could just say thanks and shake his hand. I doubt he will read this but I wanted to let him and everyone know that his act of random kindness and generosity is inspirational. I, like so many of us, have struggled lately and have seen the ugliness in the world. This gesture has rekindled my hope and drive to see the beauty and good in the world. If you have read this far know that there are great places to go to and The Still is one of them. And there are great people out there and my fellow customer is one of them. Thank you again for the kind gesture and generosity and know that it made a big difference in...
Read moreGreat selection. Friendly service. If you're shopping for new snow skis this isn't your place. They have alcohol and other beverage accessories. You might think this place is a mannequin store. It's not. Don't bother with that. If you need mannequins then you probably should try ebay or something. Unless you own a big department store. In which case you probably have a corporate office that would supply you with mannequins. I doubt corporate would supply you with alcohol though. Go to the Still for those needs. They are near home Depot which is nice because home Depot also doesn't sell alcohol. Nor do they sell mannequins. They do so a lot of tools so maybe you could build your own mannequin. I don't know if the time it would take to build a mannequin would be worth it. I mean as humans we've really specialized in what we build and do for a living. So maybe just save yourself the time and reach out to a mannequin builder. I do think a lot of people Brew their own beer. But there's so many people that make good beer now maybe you should just get it from the Still. I mean they get their alcohol from professionals. Like I said we specialized as humans. Get your alcohol from someone who knows what the heck...
Read moreIf you get a keg watch your account for at least 6 months! I just randomly got charged $100 6 months later without a call or anything. When I called and asked he accused me of not returning the keg. They wanted me to know how much I was charged for the beer, keg, bucket, and tap. The guy was rude telling me that I had a "free 6 month loan" because they didn't charge me for keeping their keg that I had returned. After going back and forth they charged me $30 because I didn't pay enough for the beer. I paid what they told me I owed 6 month ago and now it's not enough so I guess I'm supposed to know the prices of beer as well. I like The Still but this one caught me off guard how rude and unprofessional this whole...
