Dollar General — Local services in Lincolnton

So I got hired two weeks ago because the manager Keesha had told my friend she had two people walk out and needed the help,so i applied called that Monday she told me how much my pay would be, that it was a part time.job, sent my new hire paperwork had that filled out after waiting almost a week and speaking with her almost everyday that week and her telling me that as soon as that comes and I fill it out and do my background I was set, well my background check had came back that Sunday, that following Monday I called to ask her when I would be starting and she wouldn't come to the phone and the assistant manager or whoever she is rude as hell has a bad attitude and really shouldn't be working there acting that way trash. She told me she would give Keisha the message, well never hears anything so I had went up there talked to Keesha and was told she would hopefully call me by the end of the day and let me know when I could start, never heard from her, Tuesday never heard from her, so I called Tuesday night and left another message nothing. Wednesday nothing so Thursday I reached out to the district manager and when I had all of a sudden she called me and told me that she had decided to go with another candidate, after hiring me me doing my paperwork my background check coming in and her telling me Monday that I had the job. Then not only that she hits me up on facebook telling me she went with another candidate. Trash is what that place is and I'm almost positive that it's because im gay. She is nasty and has a bad attitude as well as the assistant. But I'm taking things in my hands and I'll make sure that things and situations are dealt with as needed. I'm not one to do these reviews, but today it's needed for this store. This is by far the worst dg I've ever stepped foot in. I came in to buy some things for the week and use online coupons that only work with your phone number. As I was putting my phone number in, the screen changed to the total, so I no longer had access to the digital coupons I was attempting to use. The lady behind the counter said she had only been working there a couple months and threw a small tantrum when I mentioned ringing it all back up and starting over. She tried to claim that I saved on this and that, not realizing that digital coupons explicitly work by using your account phone number. I would have saved 10 extra dollars if I could have used my number. After going to the car and unloading everything, I looked at the receipt to make sure I was correct and then walked back into the store. As I walked back in, I overhear her and another customer talking about me and the previous encounter. I wasn't mean or rude during the first encounter, just frustrated. So, this will go a little further now because she thought me being right about the rung-up amount was funny enough to make jokes or talk whatever trash left her mouth after I had initially walked out. I would strongly suggest driving the 10 extra minutes to the other store, because there's no excuse for that behavior. If you don't like your job, don't want to do your job, then go home. A formal complaint will be filed for this store, and against how this employee acted once I stepped outside...

Very friendly staff, and nice, clean store! I've gotten to know the employees and I have to say it really burns me up to see some of these reviews complaining about only one register open and shelves not being stocked because you all need to realize they , like every business are given a tight budget for labor! These people work their tails off trying to keep the store clean and stocked while also trying to run register, they aren't allowed to have more than 2 people working at a time most days and some days only allowed one person! So, when you see some of the shelves empty, that's why... When you see an employee outside smoking, that's probably the first break they've gotten in 4 or 5hrs! The two ladies that usually work during the day are constantly running around the store trying so hard to clean and stock and take care of their rude customers that do nothing but fuss and complain about them not standing behind the register all day while at the same time they're complaining about items not in stock! Come on people! Can you be in 2 places at once? These ladies...
