Back Down South Clothing Co. — Local services in Lindale

There are a lot of things to like about this store. For example, the decor and ambiance are classic hunting as one reviewer has said. And the quality of the clothing seems to be really good. However, I was not impressed on my first visit to the store because of the poor customer service. My sister-in-law bought me a shirt for my birthday. The color wasn't really when I wanted so I decided to take it in to exchange it. The teenage kid behind the counter had no clue how to do that so he went to ask his uncle who evidently runs the store. He came back in a few minutes and told me that his uncle couldn't do the exchange right now because "he had to do all kinds of stuff on the computer". It would be 2 hours before he could accomplish this. That's ridiculous. I'll probably try to go back one more time to make the exchange but I doubt if I'll ever go back...

I love the shirts and waders that these guys offer, however I had a package shipped to my house that showed to be delivered, but it never received it. I let the company know instantly. It’s now been a month since my package was “delivered”, and every Friday I have to follow up with them, because no one takes the initiative to reach out to me with any updates. I was told that “I will not be receiving a refund or my product unless USPS issues a refund to the them since this is not their fault”. Here I am going on a month after paying for my product and shipping cost and I am yet receive any sort of product, refund, or any sort of update. This has been been a terrible experience. I wish I could give five stars. I planned an outing with my teenage son this past Saturday and his only request, after agreeing to run errands with me ALL day, was to stop and shop at Back Down South in Lindale. We checked the hours online when planning our day and arrived at 3pm, which was plenty of time to shop until their posted closing time of 6pm. There was a sign on the door that said "We'll be back at 3pm". We waited twenty minutes and no one showed. He was so disappointed and I was upset for him because this was the finale of a long day. My advice to BDS is maybe be back at 3pm OR have someone cover for you...
