Came here with my fiancé to have a nice day of golf. I have never golfed before so this was my first time, when we checked in with John nothing was mentioned about me needing my own clubs as my fiancé called 2 days prior to confirm it would be ok to share his clubs in which he was told yes that’s no problem. We get on the course after waiting 20 minutes as it was a busy day. John comes out on a cart and tells my fiancé that I need my own clubs, my fiancé explained that he called and asked about this and was told it’s ok for us to share. John said he would let it slide this time but next time I need my own in which we agreed with the policy and apologized. Not even 5 minutes later he comes back saying we need to play faster and stuck with our group( 2 men he grouped with us to keep things moving faster). We explained that the other 2 took off and left us and there was nothing we could do to which he told us to figure it out. This was extremely upsetting and completely ruined our day as we felt like we did not belong. We ended up leaving after the first hole and my fiancée went in to ask for a refund. John asked why and my fiancé explained that he felt that we were treated poorly and rushed to no fault of our own. John did not like this at all and then stated that we clearly don’t golf enough and said he would only give us a credit to come back. He was so rude and condescending and my fiancé asked for the managers name and John told him “why don’t you go to pasaconoway and find out for ourselves “. If I were the manager of these courses I would get rid of this man IMMEDIATELY especially after reading 3 other reviews of people having similar experiences as us! I will never return to this course for this reason. Hidden...
Read moreSo disappointing! I brought my hubby and 2 teen kids to this public course. We were excited to have fun and spend time together. I payed my 200$ for 9 holes and a young man checked us in . He asked if we are renting clubs and I told him we could share the ones I brought . Everything seemed great until I went back in to ask a question. There was now an older white hired man telling me in a quite snide way that he will let me slide this time but I was to rent clubs for all of us and my kids where not dressed in colored shirts. I was embarrassed and I told him I was sorry I didn't know and will be sure to follow the rule now that I know. We got out there And here he comes again telling us don't take to long and we should only shoot form our best players ball to speed us up. We again were embarrassed and felt like "should we even be here?" We again told him we would play how he wanted and we are sorry. Not kidding here he comes 5 mins later on the cart staring us down, trying to rush us. If we were taking a little long by all means pass us but this was just in called for I was practically in tears and we just called it quits. He did refund us but we went from excited on a beautiful day to a feeling like...
Read moreThe old guy running things was so smug and arrogant. He was rude and condescending and obviously bothered by me and my daughter being new and unsure of how things were set up. I sensed his bad attitude the second I walked in to the office. Just a real jerk. I wanted to teach my daughter who was home on leave from the military how to play golf and just enjoy the day but we were too slow and he chased us down twice to tell us that. I knew he would harass us all day so I asked if we could just go to the driving range instead. “Driving Range is closed”. Very rude. He did refund us which was fair but he was rude about that too. If you’re new to golf then don’t even try to play here. It’s meant for retired old men who have been playing there for years. We didn’t even make it off the first hole. Only hit the ball twice. We started late because there were people on the fairway in front of us. Apparently we were supposed to be with that “group” but nobody told me that. I thought it would be just me and my daughter so we waited until it was all clear. Anyway. Just a terrible experience. Can’t stress enough what a jerk...
