I have been going my whole life but, in past few years it has become an outlet for selling junk from other countries. Fewer local vendors with Maine and USA made items. Miss the shows too. It's lost it's folksy charm. Not much to do for the in between crowds (15-40). How about breathing some life back into it. Better rides for older kids, dances, Mr &Ms Litchfield Fair contest, concert night, a little betting, something for 4 wheelers, a beer stand, hourly drawings for free admissions, tickets to rides, drinks, food, ect., brewing demonstration or local wine tasting, getting the drift?
