Meeker County Fairgrounds — Local services in Litchfield

When fair time comes around. I spend many hours there. Not only looking at the stuff, but in the 4-h Dairy barn. My family shows many cows during the fair. All sizes, from calves to full size cows. They show for CoJo Dairy Farm. We practically live in that barn. Showing is on Saturdays. But these kids work hard during the whole fair. Feeding, watering, washing & grooming thier cows for shows. Alot of time is spent keeping their area clean of manure. Which is nobodies favorite job. Haha But it's all part of being there. Alot of our kids stay over night in campers, young...

The county fair is a nice place to see all the 4H projects, presentations, and pets. Unfortunately, families can't afford to attend the fair, unless they're IN the 4H club. Fair pricing is $8 per person, with no discount for children (unless age 4 or under). This is NOT cool. Won't be coming back unless pricing changes. (Perhaps follow Wright county's policy of under 18 being free, with adults at $5? ....also they have a BETTER fair then...

The Fairboard has done a great job putting this event on. The fairgrounds are well maintained and the buildings kept clean. This is our second year with this fair and the board members have been great...
